Disney's 20/20 television show on the Age of Consent, describes Jan Kruska's website as:

Let's break that down a little shall we?

First of all, someone is hardly "innocent" if at the age of 22 they have sex with 15 year old boy's who they're supposed to be looking after. In regards to the content of Jan's website, here are some things you'll find on it, you can judge for yourself whether they just illustrate how the "registry has affected Jan's life" or something more sinister:

The Stossel Treatment
Selective editing and other unethical tactics

Sometimes John Stossel's technique is no different from the sensationalism of any other tabloid TV entertainer. Witness his report on "dwarf tossing" (20/20, 3/8/02), in which he professed indignation at "busybodies" who want to stop the practice. "Dave Flood is a dwarf who is angry because his rights are being violated," declared Stossel. "He wants to be tossed."

But Stossel's approach can transcend the merely embarrassing, becoming careless or unethical. His reports are billed as news, but they sometimes rely on questionable methods such as deceptive editing that distorts arguments made by interviewees, the exclusion of facts that might conflict with his personal opinion, and the provocation of guests so as to broadcast their reactions out of context.

"We were hoodwinked"

One controversy that caught mainstream media's attention concerned Stossel's interview of a group of grade-school students for his ABC News special "What's Wrong With Tampering With Nature?" (6/29/01). The children's parents had signed releases for them to appear on the show, but after witnessing Stossel's methods, several withdrew their consent and protested to ABC.

The special caricatured environmentalists as "preachers of doom and gloom" whose fanaticism would have us all "running around naked, hungry for food, maybe killing a rabbit with a rock, then dying young." A key theme was Stossel's claim that U.S. schools have become an "environmental boot camp" to indoctrinate children with green propaganda, when in fact the environment is doing just fine.

To illustrate his point, Stossel arranged an interview with a group of California kids, asking what parents described as leading questions to try to show that the children had been taught environmentalist lies. Several parents said they hadn't known about this slant when they granted permission for the interviews. They complained that ABC had "misrepresented" the segment by telling them simply that it was an Earth Day special, and by concealing Stossel's involvement (L.A. Times, 6/26/01).

One father, Brad Neal, told the Washington Post (6/26/01) that Stossel's questioning was "entirely misleading," and that "he'd repeat the questions until he got the answer he wanted…. We knew we were hoodwinked." Parents said Stossel even tried to lead the children in chant suggesting that "all scientists agree there is a greenhouse effect" (L.A. Times, 6/26/01).

As a result of the negative publicity, ABC pulled the interviews before the show aired, though the network stood by Stossel's work. Stossel's own response was instructive. He found new kids to interview, apparently with the same techniques: On the special, they responded in well-coordinated unison to Stossel's questions. He also went on the attack against the parents, saying that they had been "brainwashed" by environmental activists, whom he characterized as "the totalitarian left" (O'Reilly Factor, 6/27/01).

Tricky editing

Little kids aren't the only ones who should beware of Stossel's tactics. During his one-hour special "Is America No. 1?" (9/19/99), Stossel used tricky editing to misrepresent the views of James K. Galbraith, a leading economist at the University of Texas.

Rife with factual inaccuracies (Extra!, 11-12/99), the show attempted to demonstrate that laissez-faire economics are "what makes a country work well for its people." Stossel claimed that Europe has high unemployment rates because of policies that provide benefits such as paid parental leave and make it "very hard" to fire workers.

The facts are so persuasive, said Stossel, that "many economists who once argued that we could learn from Europe, like James Galbraith, have now changed their minds." Stossel then played a clip from his interview with Galbraith: "There might be a moment for the European to learn from us, rather than for us to be studying them." The implication was clear: Galbraith believes Europe should follow the U.S.'s lead and require fewer protections and benefits for workers.

In fact, Galbraith is an outspoken opponent of the adoption of U.S.-style laissez-faire policies in Europe. "My point is quite different from the one Stossel makes in the lead-in," Galbraith told Extra!'s Seth Ackerman (11-12/99). Galbraith explained that he had actually told Stossel that "Europe could, in short, benefit from adopting some of the continent-wide transfer mechanisms, such as Social Security, that we have long enjoyed in the United States." In other words, Galbraith did feel Europe could learn from the U.S. by expanding social benefit programs--the opposite position, essentially, from the one implied by Stossel's editing.

After FAIR issued an Action Alert (9/28/99) critiquing this and other distortions in "Is America No. 1?," Stossel issued an evasive rebuttal (11/6/99)--signed, oddly, by Stossel and "some of his staff"--which insisted that Galbraith's "views on this particular matter were not misrepresented," but hedged that "we did not intend anyone to think he endorsed every statement made in the hour."

Despite Stossel's claim that he had done no wrong, the sentence introducing Galbraith's soundbite had been changed when ABC rebroadcast "Is America No. 1?" a year later (9/1/00). "Even economists who like Europe's policies, like James Galbraith," said Stossel the second time around, "now acknowledge America's success."

Some facts are better than others

Sometimes Stossel responds to uncomfortable facts not by spinning them, but by omitting them. In one instance, producers resigned from a Stossel special after their findings were dismissed because they cast doubt on Stossel's "preconceived notion" of the truth. The show was "Are We Scaring Ourselves to Death?" (4/21/94), a 90-minute special about the evils of government regulation.

Positing that America's ability to "compete in a world economy" could be compromised if we worry too much about "dangerous-sounding" things like "pesticides, pollutants, bioengineering, electromagnetic fields" and so forth, Stossel reassures us: Today, "we live longer than ever." Therefore, advocates like Ralph Nader--who is portrayed as a fear-monger who "screamed about everything"--have it all wrong. The real danger is regulation, since "regulations may shorten lives by making people poorer."

It's tough to argue with such relentlessly simplistic logic, as Stossel's own staff found out. As reported by Karl Grossman (Extra! Update, 6/94), a source close to ABC said that two of the three producers hired to work on the special resigned because their findings were unwelcome.

Producer Jan Legnitto found that government product-safety regulation was cost-effective, while Vicky Sufian's research on comparative risk indicated that some regulations actually served to protect people. Neither finding supported Stossel's anti-regulatory stance, so their research was dismissed. Both producers asked to be released from their contracts and left the program.

Similarly, in the 1995 special "Boys and Girls Are Different" (2/1/95), Stossel's team seems to have discarded evidence that complicated the show's biology-is-destiny slant.

Claiming that men and women think differently "because our brains are different," Stossel argued that "trying to fix these differences will be pointless, expensive, even hurtful." On this basis, Stossel attacked remedies for inequality such as sex discrimination laws and affirmative action, saying they force unnatural outcomes.

As documented for Extra! by Miranda Spencer (5-6/95), Stossel featured a variety of scientists supporting biological explanations for gender traits and roles. Instead of contrasting these views with the numerous scientists who disagree with that approach, Stossel set up feminists without scientific backgrounds to refute them.

Spencer found that Stossel's staff had in fact talked to some of the scientific authorities who were left out of the program, including Brown University biologist Anne Fausto-Sterling, a prominent figure in gender studies.

Fausto-Sterling--whose research has found more overlap than difference in male and female abilities--was contacted by fact-checkers for the program before the show aired. Her input, however, didn't seem to pass the litmus test. One ABC producer told Fausto-Sterling that interviews were already "set up" and that it was too late to restructure the show to introduce more balance.

Joan Bertin--then co-director of Columbia University's Program on Gender, Science and Law, now a professor at Columbia and executive director of the National Coalition Against Censorship--was also called by an ABC staffer who had no interest in material that didn't confirm Stossel's preconceived notions. "She left me with the clear impression she had explicit marching orders to find material to support gender differences," Bertin told Extra! (5-6/95).

Part of the story

Particularly troubling is Stossel's 1997 report about a rape allegation at Brown University. The controversial sexual assault charge was prominently covered by Brown's newspaper--it also generated stories in the Associated Press, Boston Globe and USA Today, among other outlets--and sparked rallies on campus, along with intense debate about sexual assault and Brown's disciplinary system.

In 1996, Brown student Sara Klein charged that she had been raped by a fellow student, Adam Lack, while she was too drunk to consent or remember the event. Lack maintained that the sex had been consensual. Klein filed a complaint with Brown's disciplinary council and Lack was suspended for sexual misconduct. On appeal, the judgment was reduced to "flagrant disrespect" and the suspension reduced to probation (Providence Journal-Bulletin, 1/30/97). Lack later sued both Brown and Klein, a case which was settled in December 1997 (Brown Daily Herald, 10/25/00).

The facts behind the Lack/Klein case remain unclear, but Stossel's 20/20 report about it--"When Yes Means No" (3/28/97)--exploited the incident to make some disturbing claims about sex and rape. The way 20/20 told it, the questions about consent and assault raised by the case were problematic primarily because of Brown's "political correctness."

"There is something of an authoritarian atmosphere surrounding women's issues on this campus," Stossel announced, adding this memorable bit of wisdom: "If nobody had sex except when they were totally sober, I bet there would be a lot less sex on this campus."

The report consisted of an extensive interview with Lack (Klein reportedly declined to be interviewed) and footage of a verbal fight between Stossel and students at a campus rally against sexual assault.

As portrayed in the segment, the rally was angry and combative. "I got a feeling for the intolerance when the activists asked if anyone else wanted to speak," Stossel said, introducing his own entrance into the story, in which he took the stage to ask the crowd to define rape. According to Stossel's report, students were unwilling to consider his questions even though he was "just trying to educate" himself, and so drowned out his innocent inquiries with hostile chanting.

An article in a local paper, the Providence Journal-Bulletin (1/30/97), told a different story. According to the paper, the "orderly rally" degenerated into a "free-for-all" only after Stossel stepped out of his journalistic role to take the microphone.

Stossel reportedly "responded with an obscenity" when a student questioned his journalistic integrity, mocked a student who quoted Brown's discipline code--"I'm glad for $30,000 you learned to read"--and tried to provoke one woman by asking her, "If I were dating you, and put my arm around you and put my hand on your breast…."

Stossel's cursing and innuendos were not included in his 20/20 report.

When all else fails, fabricate

In 2000, revelations about Stossel's shoddy journalism caused a brief media furor that ended with an on-air apology by Stossel for having cited non-existent test results in a report.

The report was "The Food You Eat," originally aired by 20/20 on February 4, 2000. In it, Stossel warned that organic produce may be more dangerous than conventional produce, saying that tests commissioned by ABC found increased levels of E. coli bacteria in organic sprouts and lettuce. He also stated that the tests found no pesticide residue "on either organic or regular produce," thereby obviating a key reason for buying organic food.

But, as the Organic Trade Association pointed out in a letter sent to ABC before the report aired (11/8/99), Stossel's E. coli tests were non-specific, meaning that they did not distinguish between dangerous and benign strains of the bacteria. The distinction is crucial to a story about food safety, but the 20/20 report omitted it, leaving the impression that the presence of any E. coli whatsoever could prove fatal.

OTA also pointed out that although one of their representatives was interviewed on the show and asked to comment on the study, Stossel's producer replied evasively to their "numerous" requests that he "clarify what types of E. coli were tested for." The group says that they learned the details of the test only after they were interviewed.

What's more, the pesticide tests Stossel cited were never done. In July, a story brought to light by the Environmental Working Group was picked up by the New York Times (7/31/00): The scientists that ABC commissioned--Michael Doyle and Lester Crawford--said that they never tested any of the produce for pesticides, only for bacteria.

In addition, Crawford told the Times that he did perform similar tests on chicken, and found pesticide residue on the conventional poultry but not on the organic poultry. That data is nowhere in Stossel's report, which suggests that, true to form, he took a selective approach to reporting scientific evidence.

Prior to these revelations, several groups--including FAIR, EWG and OTA--had voiced concerns about other aspects of "The Food You Eat," including its failure to disclose a primary source's ties to the chemical industry. At the time, ABC dismissed the questions, and rebroadcast the report uncorrected on July 7.

After the news about the non-existent test was picked up by mainstream media, ABC announced that it would reprimand Stossel and suspend his producer, and Stossel issued a lengthy on-air apology (8/11/00). FAIR wrote to ABC News urging them to take the occasion to investigate Stossel's overall record on accuracy, and to consider whether it lived up to the network's journalistic standards. The network, however, seemed to have decided to treat the debacle as an isolated incident. FAIR never received a response.

In a March 2007 segment about finances and lifestyles of televangelists, 20/20 aired a clip of a TV minister originally broadcast by the Lifetime Network in 1997. The clip made it seem that the minister was describing his wealth in extravagant terms, when actually, he was telling a parable about a rich man. ABC News twice aired a retraction and apologized for the error. The minister filed a lawsuit against Stossel, his source for the clip, 20/20, and ABC for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The Rev. Frederick K.C. Price may have two Bentleys, but a spokesman for his 22,000-member church says his Palos Verdes house doesn't boast 25 rooms and he definitely doesn't own a helicopter. A lawsuit Price filed Tuesday claims that ABC's "20/20" defamed him when it suggested otherwise, portraying him as a "hypocrite and thief" who financed an extravagant lifestyle with church funds.

Price, founder of the Crenshaw Christian Center, was featured in a "20/20" segment about well-heeled televangelists titled "Enough!" that the suit says "devastated, embarrassed and greatly humiliated" the 75-year-old. The suit also names Walt Disney Co., which owns ABC, and "20/20" co-anchor John Stossel.

In the March 23 segment, "20/20" ran a clip from a sermon Price delivered 10 years ago and displayed a still photo of the preacher as Stossel interviewed an activist who keeps tabs on how ministries spend congregants' donations. The suit calls the use of the clip "one of the most outrageous instances of 'out of context' editing in the history of television."

The Common Thread

Once upon a time Jan Kruska wrote about what she felt the common thread was among children murdered by sexual deviants.

She believes it is because their parents are human and less than perfect.

Unlike her of course.

We've had a lot of things to say about that. I'm sure we'll have a lot more things to say in the future. But for today we're going to talk about a common thread and ask once again Who are these men?

These men that we've talked about (and occasionally women) have some very basic similarities. One of which is to claim that THEY aren't dangerous. It's not THEM. Their crimes should be exempt. Sure, they will admit that there are indeed people who do harm to children. They just deny that it's them. "Well sure, I did it", they'll say, followed quickly by "But it was just a mistake". Of course they would never, ever do it again because didn't you know that a DOJ recidivism study done over a period of 3 years PROVES that sex offenders don't have high recidivism rates?

Let's look at a few of these men closer. Here we have Johnny Ray Lee. He claimed that "statistically speaking, you as a parent are more likely to molest your own child than a registered sex offender is". Johnny said that very thing to a stranger at a buffet bar. It was part of his activism, you see. Of course, he also said "As a diagnosed pedophile who was chemically castrated, I can assure you it doesn't work. In order to stop a pedophile from re-offending you would also have to cut out his brains, cut off his tongue and cut off his hands."

That was a member of Sosen and Roar for Freedom, and also an avid supporter of SOclear and SOhopeful. He just received a 35 year prison sentence.

And what have we here? Why it's Christopher Smithson aka "Slavetoboys", the most recent pedohead to fall and the first conviction attributable to the Wikisposure project. Chris just received 6 years in prison.

You see, Christopher liked to write "fictional" accounts of having sex with children. It turns out that, well - it wasn't fictional. Chris wrote:

"if a child 4-17 wonts to have any type of sex with any type of person, it should be against the law to stop them"
How is that statement different from the Reform Sex Offender Laws petition which calls for abolishment of age of consent laws? The petition which was signed by NAMBLA members along with members of:

Yes they all believe there should be no age of consent laws. Apparently they are ok with 4 year olds being sexually exploited. Yes, they want them to be able to make their own decisions regarding sex, you see. I'm not putting words in their mouths. Oh no. THEY are the ones who signed it.

Here we have another man we recently talked about. Jim Freeman, who was running an international pedophile ring and directly responsible for the sexual abuse of an untold number of children, 40 of which have been rescued as a result of Operation Achilles.

Jim Freeman was the c0-founder along with Tom Madison of SOhopeful. An organization presenting itself as a support network for RSO's and their loved ones, but whose primary goal was to abolish the punishments, penalties and restrictions that apply to those who sexually violate others.

How do Jim Freeman, Johnny Ray Lee and Christopher Smithson differ? They don't. They are all pedophiles. They were all 3 involved in the exploitation and sexual abuse of children.

All 3 are repeat sex offenders.

The Department of Justice reports a low recidivism rate over a period of 3 years post release from prison for new sex crimes. Longer, more thorough studies done over periods of up to 15-30 years reveal a much higher rate, with an average of 25% and some reports going as high as 60-70% for NEW sex crimes.

Even Sarah Tofte of the Human Rights Watch says that 25% of all sex offenders will reoffend within only 15 years. Sarah said she found that statistic striking. She uses that statistic to claim that RSO's aren't a danger to society.

I find that idiotic conclusion striking.

Currently in the state of Georgia, a state considered to have some of the strictest sex offender laws in the nation, out of over 15,000 RSO's there are only 39 registered sex offenders under the age of 20.

Four months ago in the state of Georgia there were only 70 RSO's under the age of 20.

The fact is that RSO activists are using teen issues to further their cause. They couldn't care less if same aged teenagers are allowed to legally have sex with each other. No, what these people want is to be able to have sex with these children themselves. Look at their histories, and look at their crimes.

I believe you too, will find it striking.

I suggest remaining vigilant. Keep your eyes and ears open to pedospeak and pedologic. Watch for media spin, watch for unethical journalists calling a CSA victim someone's "lover". Watch for those who call prostituted children "child prostitutes". And absolutely watch for those who victimize children and then refer to themselves as the "true victims" and the actual victim as a "professional victim who refuses to take responsibility for being abused"

Watch for people like Michael Gregg aka ZMan! who claims the little girl he exposed himself to should be jailed....and watch when Betty Price concurs.

Watch for someone claiming we do teenagers a disservice because in 1850 it was common to get married immediately after puberty....completely overlooking the fact that in 1850 -- slavery was legal, women could not vote, disease was rampant and the life expectancy was 39 years.. What significance does the AOC in 1850, 1620, 939 or 55 BC have to do with 2008? I sort of have a feeling that cave men didn't even HAVE an AOC of any sort, does that mean we should act like Neanderthals?

Watch for someone who claims our society is sexually repressed because the age of consent is only 9 in Yemen. Completely overlooking the fact that women in Yemen are beaten and battered into submission. Legally. Completely overlooking the fact that 96% of women in Yemen are sexually controlled by forced female genital mutilation.

Watch for someone who defends an 18 year old for having sex with a 14 year old, then when asked the question "Would you have done it if she had been 12?" the response being "Oh NO, absolutely not, there must be a 'line' somewhere" Completely overlooking the fact that there WAS a line and it was crossed.

All those things are known as spin. Those are things you need to watch out for. Spin is an unethical manipulation of factual information to make something appear to mean something that in reality it does not mean.

Spin is evil.

SANTA ROSA BEACH — Before he was indicted in a global child porn ring, James Freeman was a registered sex offender leading a campaign to reform Megan's Law.

"It is illogical to present a system that tracks non-violent, one-crime one-victim, lowest-risk sex offenders as a benefit to public safety," reads a statement at SOhopeful.org, where Freeman was listed as executive director until his indictment Tuesday.

The group emphasizes it does not excuse sex offenses or abuse. With the 47-year-old Freeman indicted on a slew of federal child porn charges, his name has been erased from the Web site. SOhopeful's executive director position was listed as "unfilled" Friday.

Phone calls and e-mails to Carolyn Ferguson, a SOhopeful representative, were unanswered Friday. Meanwhile, a message posted on the group's public Web forum said members were "horrified and disheartened" and Freeman was removed from the organization.

"The Board of Directors is addressing internal structure and security issues," the message explained.

A message board for another sex offender law reform group — Reform Organization Attitude Restoration (ROAR) — contains posts from users who acknowledge the connection, but apparently had hoped to keep it secret.

"I think by now most of you know about the horrible story of Mystic of SOhopeful being charged in a large disgusting peodphile (sic) ring," writes one user. "I can only pray that this is some kind of misunderstanding or government 'fix.' "

Freeman's user name in the enterprise was "Mystikal," according to the 35-count indictment.

"… NO press release should be made unless the media picks up on a connection between Jim and Sohopefull (sic) and a big deal is being made of it first," the ROAR user writes.

SOhopeful's message was posted at 3 p.m. Friday, a day after The Daily News called for information.

Freeman was found guilty in March 1997 for lewd and lascivious acts with a 16-year-old in Georgia.

His registered address is 821 N. Church St. in Santa Rosa Beach.

SOhopeful International was established in 1999 to support changes in sex offender registration requirements, according to its Web site. Its materials claim existing legislation vilifies harmless offenders and floods a system that should track only dangerous predators.

A grand jury Tuesday decided Freeman and 11 others should stand trial on a number of federal charges: engaging in a child exploitation enterprise; conspiracy; advertisement of child pornography; transportation of child pornography; receipt of child pornography; and obstruction of justice.

Prosecutors say the men used vast file-sharing networks to use child porn as Internet currency and trade more than 400,000 images and videos of child sex abuse.

The indictment alleges Freeman shared at least two folders of child porn and then thanked the others for participating in the long-running enterprise.

"My thanks to you and all the others that together make this the greatest group of pedos to ever gather in one place," he wrote, according to the indictment. "I'm honored just to be a part of it."

Other users added their own files, including one who advertised videos of girls under 10 years old who were "heavily drugged" and abused.

If convicted, Freeman and the others each face 20 years to life in prison plus fines.

Some of the men also have been charged with producing the pornography — meaning they had contact with the abused children, according to the FBI.

Lawmen have identified and rescued 20 of those children, according to the FBI.

A spokesman with the U.S. Department of Justice declined to comment on the case.

Have you ever noticed how similar the rhetoric of sex offender activists and pedophile activists is?

I have. I've noticed it a lot.

Of particular interest is their mutual desire to abolish age of consent laws. We don't need to ask why, we know why, don't we? Instead, let's talk about their reasoning.

On the one hand you have the pedophile group who say that children should be able to make their own decisions. We have Unico who says:

"There exist sexually-active 4-year-old girls who enjoy vaginal intercourse. What you or I think, is irrelevant to that fact.

Even first-time vaginal intercourse can be enjoyable, when preceded by several months of stretching

Anybody who would obstruct a prepubescent person from her inherent right to choose to have sexual intercourse is neither a true youth liberationist nor human rights advocate.

Access to sex education specific to prepubescent people should be mandated."

And here we have Lindsay Ashford being interviewed on the radio. What does he say about that issue?
Scott: Do you think that a 5 year old grasps what's going on well enough to be able to consent to sexual activity?
Lindsay: A 5 year old understands friendship. A 5 year old understands affection.
Scott: So can a 2 year old?
Lindsay: A 2 year old understands pleasure.
Scott: So they can consent to sex?
Lindsay: They can consent to pleasurable activity
Scott: Can a 6 month old do that?
Lindsay: I'm sure that 6 months old also have nerve endings and understanding and an understanding of what is pleasurable to them, yes
Scott: So a 6 month old can consent to sex
Lindsay: A 6 month old can consent to activity that it finds pleasurable
What does the petition we've talked so much about say? The one Jan Kruska and so many of her activist associates signed?
"Support broad sex education for children, and empower them to make their own decisions and stand up for their rights"
It then goes on to define 'children'
"Children should be defined as persons under the age of puberty."

And yes, many RSO activists signed it. So where do you draw the line? As far as age of consent goes? Is it 18? 16? 14? And with the age of consent law in place whatever that age is, what do you do when someone breaks that law? Slap them on the wrist? What I DO know for sure, is that the activists who are pushing for abolishment of age of consent laws and abolishment of punishment and registration for sex offenders were NOT convicted of having teenaged consensual sex. Their crimes were far worse than that and they are further exploiting children by trying to argue that the very RARE case of teenagers who end up on the registry is representative of their entire population. The vast majority of teens who find themselves convicted of a crime are not on the registry because of a consensual act. They may be listed as statutory rape, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it was a plea deal that gave them that listing.

Furthermore, if the crime was a felony charge, and the offender plead guilty and accepted a plea deal reducing the conviction on the books to a misdemeanor. Does that mean their crime was less than when they committed it? Absolutely not. The actual crime remains the same, but their legal maneuver reduced their penalty.

Let's look at an example of the propaganda. Jan Kruska said last year on a podcast with Tom Madison, that 95% of those on the registry are not dangerous people. She says they were convicted for things such as drunken mooning, or children "playing doctor". Does anyone know where she got this made up "fact"? Or how about Tim from Sosen, who says that 73% of all offenders on the sex offender registry committed their crimes against someone who was over the age of 18, while the fact is that 87% of victims were UNDER the age of 18. Why does Tim say that 40% of offenders were under the age of 18 upon conviction while the true number is that less than 10% were minors? Why would these people lie to you in an attempt to bring about social change?

Here are a couple of things you can do besides just hit and miss searching on a registry. Go to the Illinois sex offender registry and download it in entirely into an Excel document_ Sort and resort by the information that's on there. Say for example the age of the offender at the time of conviction along with the age of the victim. It's quite interesting. Did you know that the average age at conviction was mid thirties?

Georgia is another state that allows you to download their registry although it doesn't list the age of the victim. What you'll find is that the average age at conviction was 32 years old. You'll also find that less than 10% of those registered in Georgia were under the age of 20 at conviction. And in fact, at the present time in Georgia there are only 39 offenders under the age of 20. Even more interesting is the fact that 4 months ago there were a total of 70 teenaged sex offenders in Georgia. If these new laws are soooooo "draconian", if they are sooooo over broad, why is that number going DOWN instead of UP?

It's because it's not true what they say. It's also not true when they say their primary interest is child safety, and a desire for the laws to be 'effective'. The real truth is they are all pissed off sex offenders who don't want to accept responsibility for their actions. Tom Madison proved that when he rallied to gain support for releasing violent repeat sexual predators from their court imposed civil commitment. His primary interest was certainly not safety, his concern was the sex offenders wasting their time and the cost to non-sex offenders. LOL Well he DID say that after all.

And let us not forget one of the ring leaders of the RSO activists. Jim Freeman, co-founder and executive director of SoHopeful. Read more about that HERE, read also how Cheryl Griffith tried to cover it up.

And while you're at it, read what Dr. Gene Abel had to say from a study he did which included 16,109 adults who admitted sexually molesting at least one child.
40% of child molesters, who were later diagnosed as having pedophilia, had molested a child by the time they were 15 years old. An estimated 88% of child molesters and 95% of molestations (one person, multiple acts) are committed by individuals who now or in the future will also meet criteria for pedophilia. Pedophilic child molesters on average commit 10 times more sexual acts against children than nonpedophilic child molesters.

There may be innocent people imprisoned for murder who truly are innocent. But we don't lobby to abolish all laws regarding murder as a result. The same is true for sex offenders. ***IF*** these activists motives were truly about teenagers, THAT is what they would be addressing. But they are only further exploiting kids to further their own agenda. Very, very few teenagers are convicted for having consensual sex, it is rare, and it is the exception. But adults convicted for manipulating young teens is far too common. We understand this completely. They don't.

PENSACOLA — A Santa Rosa Beach man is one of 12 people indicted in a vast Internet child porn enterprise that investigators say ran for two years.

The U. S. Attorney's Office has charged James Freeman, 47, with numerous federal crimes: engaging in a child exploitation enterprise, conspiracy, advertisement of child pornography, transportation of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and obstruction of justice.

Prosecutors say Freeman and at least 11 others used large file-sharing networks to share child porn over the Internet and installed "sophisticated encryption methods" to avoid detection.

Freeman's user name was "Mystikal," according to his indictment.

The charges were filed after investigators infiltrated the network. By then, the group had already traded more than 400,000 images and videos of child sex abuse, the U.S. Attorney's Office alleges.

The indictment lists messages posted by all 12 users, many including descriptions of teens or children engaged in sex acts. One describes girls under 10 years old who are "heavily drugged" and abused.

In one message, Freeman posts two folders and claims the pictures inside are "worth the download," the indictment states.

Later, he thanks the others for their participation: "My thanks to you and all the others that together make this the greatest group of pedos to ever gather in one place. I'm honored just to be a part of it," according to the indictment.

Two other men were arrested Feb. 29 in connection with the case, but are not named in the document_

If convicted, Freeman and the others each face 20 years to life in prison plus fines.
The case was investigated by the FBI and lawmen in Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom and Canada.

And now, men like these have been busted in what has been called the "most sophisticated child pornography operation in recent memory". 12 Americans were indicted for "participating in a global child pornography ring that distributed more than 400,000 pictures and videos of children engaged in sexual activities." Children drugged and unable to do ANYTHING. Completely at the mercy of sick freaks. WHO will DARE to even attempt to defend this I ask you?

At the forefront of these men is none other than Jim Freeman. The executive director, legal director and co-founder of SoHopeful. A sex offender activist group where Tom Madison, Shirley Lowery, David Coffman,
and other pro-sex offenders got their start. I can't help but wonder why Cheryl Griffith wants to bury this story. Didn't she claim that children's safety was her top concern?
"I can only pray that this is some kind of misunderstanding or government "fix". No matter what it is, this could hurt all of us (groups and individuals) greatly. In my opinion, the best thing we could do is to not post anything about it in our groups about this at least about his connection to any RSO groups."

Google James Freeman's names, especially those baby raper defender names and read what he had to say. The very things all the RSO activists say. The very things all the pedo activists have to say. Read especially his commentary about the reason Christopher Barrios was raped and murdered. And while you're at it, watch out for Zman, you just never know where that little freak will pop up next. While you're reading, keep in the back of your mind that Jim's activism related to getting himself off the SOR. Watch him spin statistics to excuse his behavior.

WASHINGTON — After James Freeman was vetted and approved for membership in what police describe as a highly sophisticated child porn network, he expressed his appreciation by posting two folders online: one labeled "mild," the other "wild."

"All I can say is that they are worth the download," wrote Freeman, 47, known in the global porn ring as "Mystikal," according to court documents. "My thanks to you and all the others that together make this the greatest group of pedos ever to gather in one place."

Freeman, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., was one of 12 Americans indicted last week in a worldwide investigation that ultimately charged 22 people with participating in the porn ring — and intentionally blocking police from investigating it.

In all, more than 400,000 pictures, video files and other images showing children engaged in sexual behavior were produced, advertised, traded and distributed globally in the online pornography ring, according to U.S. and international authorities. The sting, which started in Australia, also netted accused pornographers in England, Canada and Germany.

Some victims were as young as five years old. Others were preyed upon for innocent characteristics such as wearing their hair in pigtails.

Authorities won't say how they eventually broke through several layers of encryption, background checks and other security measures the pornographers used to protect their online user group from being accessed. The porn ring was run like a business, FBI executive assistant director J. Stephen Tidwell said Tuesday, with the lewd images used as currency instead of cash.

"This is beyond a quantum exponential leap for us to see folks that have gone to this much trouble to produce this kind of volume of horrific exploitation of children," Tidwell said in an interview.

So far, authorities have identified and rescued 20 of the children who were exploited, he said, adding: "But with 400,000 (images) we're going to be at this for years, trying to find the victims."

Australian investigators first discovered the ring and infiltrated it undercover in January 2006, said Ross Barnett, detective chief superintendent with the Queensland Police Service. Those who gained access to the online forum could only after passing a series of what Tidwell called "various benchmarks and bars to get over to get into their group."

"From our perspective, it's definitely the largest and most sophisticated and disciplined group that we have ever seen operating in this environment," Barnett said.

A 35-count indictment unsealed Friday in U.S. District Court in Pensacola, Fla., details conversations among the 12 men accused of trading and advertising the pornography. Two other Americans were also arrested in connection with the ring but not included in the indictment.

The men were charged in 11 states: California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Washington. They all used aliases, such as "Box of Rocks," "Crazy Horse," "Lizzard" and "Pickleman."

In one example cited in the indictment, 54-year-old Raymond Roy of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., posted videos of Thai children "to give everyone something to do for an afternoon."

"This one may offend here, so a word of caution, these girls are heavily drugged," Roy, known as "Nimo," wrote on July 10, 2007, according to the court documents. The 12 men were charged with engaging in a child exploitation enterprise; illegally posting notices seeking to receive, exchange and distribute child porn across state lines; and obstructing of justice. Several also were charged with producing the pornography — meaning they had contact with the children who were exploited, Tidwell said.

The investigation, which is continuing, is the latest product of the FBI's "Innocent Images" task force that stemmed from a 1993 child pornography case. The task force has arrested more than 9,400 suspects since 2004 and is made up of international investigators working in the United States from an FBI command center in suburban Maryland.

Noting the sophisticated process the porn ring used to bar police, Tidwell compared the growing number of child pornography crimes to that of cocaine dealers, terrorists and the Mafia.

"If they had good operational security, that's a bad thing for us," Tidwell said. "When you've got that, you've got a real challenge for law enforcement."

This law should be called APRIL’S LAW after April Rowbury who was raped and left with a venereal disease at 6 years of age. Her attacker was convicted but only served 12 months. He spent the next 19 years as a habitual user of pedophile web sites until he was again arrested for raping another child. This time his sentence was only 10 years.

I taped my segment of the show on Nov 1, and didn't know that Williams added an appeal at the end of the show, urging "America" to "shut me down" somehow (this was in addition to similar threatening statements he made at the end of my segment). Since I was not in a motel at the time the show aired yesterday, I had to listen to the audio only on a TV-sound radio, so I did not see the pictures he was apparently flashing on the screen during the last couple of minutes of the hour. Surely he knows that the police, prosecutors, district attorneys, and state legislators have not been able to "shut me down" to date (and I doubt they ever will, legally) -- so his appeals to do so struck me as a borderline call for extra-legal action on the part of vigilante-type citizens.

All of this raises the larger question of why so many people want to exterminate us just because of our beliefs. Anyone who bothers to do a quick Internet check knows I've never been convicted or even arrested of any crime against a child, yet I receive regular e-mails and telephone messages from people who threaten to kill or mutilate me (or burn me for eternity in their imaginary hell) just because I have a differing view of pedophilia than theirs, and dare to speak about it via my Web site and media appearances. I thought one of the great things that separates the US from many other countries is that we can debate and disagree on controversial topics without ripping each other to shreds, but there seems to be a significant segment of the population that considers the topic of pedophilia exempt from this courtesy: in their view, there can be no dissenting opinions from the majority's that all sexual contact between adults and children (or with some of these critics, all minors under 18) is harmful -- and anyone who dares to challenge that orthodoxy should be booted off the Internet, hounded out of their jobs and home, and beaten or killed

Ha Ha. The ACLU and other "civil liberties" lawyers outfits apparently don't want anything to do with me: they wouldn't fight that blatantly unconstitutional court order I'm under in California (I had to accept help from an attorney who specializes in Social Security disability appeals because he was the only one in the state who offered). Likewise, no one offered to help me fight a similar absurdly overreaching transit system suspension I was under in Portland for 2 months recently (I've been back legally using that system for the last week, and haven't any additional hassles yet).

As for how much danger I'm really in (I just received another e-mail threatening me with castration), it's hard to say. I think most of the people who threaten me are just blowing off steam, and because of the volume of these threats I receive I've decided not to bother reporting them to the FBI or local police (though some of them have come in through Yahoo and Gmail boxes -- which I understand may be more traceable than the companies most of us use like Fastmail and Hushmail). I think living in a big city like Portland makes it difficult for anyone to assasinate me and easily get away with it because there are so many witnesses, surveillance cameras, and cops around (marked and plainclothes). I'm more mindful of my surroundings when I'm in relatively deserted parts of town at off hours, but otherwise I'm not looking over my shoulder much. Short of wearing a bulletproof vest everywhere, there isn't really any way I can protect myself from some nutcase who is intent on killing me and doesn't care if he is imprisoned for the rest of his life or executed for it. Another thing I think that helps make me a more difficult target is that I don't work -- so I'm not tied to any daily or even weekly schedule, and can hole up in an apartment or motel room for days on end.

Health bosses should take responsibility for the murder of a baby by her sadistic father, an MP said, after a series of health workers saw her but none activated child protection procedures.

Jessica Randall was only 54 days old when she was murdered by her father Andrew.

She had been beaten and sexually abused by the 33-year-old but despite being seen by 30 health workers she was never registered as being at risk.

After her father was jailed for life last year, an inquiry was launched by Northamptonshire's Local SafeGuarding Children Board.

But on Wednesday it said no individual doctors or health workers were to blame for the failure to register Jessica as a child at risk of abuse, it was the process through which children were reported as being at risk that had failed.

This was despite finding that on one occasion a doctor at Kettering General Hospital suspected Jessica was being abused but never recorded his concerns in her medical notes.

The Conservative MP for Kettering, Randall's home town, said that health bosses should take responsibility.

Philip Hollobone MP had raised local concerns in the House of Commons that the publication of the inquiry was taking too long.

Reacting to the publication of the inquiry's findings, he said: "I think the public will be amazed that the report has concluded that no individual was responsible, but if that is the case then those in charge of the processes, those in charge of the organisations, need to step up and take responsibility."

Andrew Randall, 33, was jailed for life at Northampton Crown Court in March last year following Jessica's death in November 2005.

Vigilante Or Vigilant?

I am not a vigilante at least I do not consider myself to be one. I am only here to help spot and report any potential illegal activities, dangerous and or suspicious activity to the proper authorities that involves child sex crimes.
Anything I do here is not illegal, since all the information is openly available online already.
I simply gather that info and send it in to the local police, or the FBI and often times I will take that information and apply it here because I feel that people have a right to know if an adult is looking to have sexual relations with children of any age. I do not cause physical harm to any individuals and I do not try to take 'justice' into my own hands in any way shape or form.
I am however forever vigilant.
I am a firm believer that it is mine and yours moral responsibility to report to the proper authorities any suspicious activity whether spoken, physical or typed out online etc... which involves any adult attempting to solicit any child for any types of sexual activity, child porn, or even admittance to such a crime, etc...
I feel strongly that we do not have the proper laws (if any at all) to help protect our children online, or the resources just yet to enforce what little we do have.
I feel that we do not have the proper laws to keep these creeps behind bars where they belong and OFF the internet, let alone any real justice for their victims by giving the offenders a mere slap on the hand.
To me that is appalling, to me it is also appalling that people still avoid to see the realities and or turn their backs against it. That's why so many like me exist online, to SHOW you the ugly truth of it all.
If you know of a crime like this yet allow it to continue on by not reporting it to the police, you are no better than that offender them self!

Police: Men Sexually Assaulted Baby
Men Also Victimized Teenage Boy, Police Say

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. -- Two men in police custody who sexually assaulted a 3-month-old girl posted proof on the Internet, police said.

New Britain police announced the arrests Thursday of Harold Spurling, 39, and Jeffrey Brisson, 29, both of New Britain. Both men face charges that date as far back as eight years ago and involve children.

Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Len Besthoff reported the assistant state's attorney in the case revealed more about the character of the pair during arraignment at New Britain Superior Court on Thursday.

The prosecutor said about one of the men "he had significant sexual contact with minors." About the other man, the prosecutor said, "He is a grave danger to the community."

WARNING: Some details of this report are disturbing and may be difficult for some to read.

Investigators said evidence seized from the pair includes pictures that depict child pornography and a video that police said shows Brisson sexually assaulting the 3-month-old girl.

Both were charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and risk of injury to a child by sexual contact, in addition to tampering with evidence and interfering with a search warrant. The arrest warrants for both men were sealed as they were set to face arraignment in court on Thursday.

Detectives received anonymous information that the pair were involved in pedophilia that involved the Internet this month. Police said the pair sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy.

Police served a search warrant on Wednesday at an apartment in the 200 block of Washington Street in New Britain, forcing their way in.

"Upon further examination of that video clip, they determined that Mr. Brisson had sexually assaulted that 3-month-old, that infant that was on scene."

Upon entry, the officers said they discovered the 3-month-old girl inside and a computer that was "actively starting an encryption process which was stopped by New Britain computer forensic analysts."

"The two accused knew the police were outside and were refusing to allow access into the apartment," New Britain police Sgt. Darren Pearson said. "It's believed that they were trying to dispose of the evidence, start the encryption process while the police officers waited outside. The officers forced entry and went inside."

Officers said they saw thumbnail icons of child pornography on a computer inside the apartment, and detectives said they watched the video that showed Brisson and the 3-month-old girl.

"When they looked on the desktop, there was an icon that they believed depicted child pornography," Pearson said. "Upon further examination of that video clip, they determined that Mr. Brisson had sexually assaulted that 3-month-old, that infant that was on scene."

Andrew Glover, a neighbor, said he saw the baby girl brought to the apartment by a woman on several occasions, but didn't see anything to make him suspicious.

"That does make me sick, but right now, I'm just too shocked to form any opinion," Glover said.

Bond was set at $3 million for Brisson and $2 million for Spurling, police said.

Spurling is a cashier at a local grocery store, and Brisson is a computer repairman.

Neither man has a significant criminal record, and both remain in police custody on suicide watch. Both men could face more charges.

Police said they believe other children may have been assaulted by Brisson and Spurling and ask that anyone with information regarding this investigation call 860-826-3065.

President Bush: Earlier this year the Department of Justice, lead by Al Gonzales,
launched the Project Safe Childhood to help federal, state, and local enforcement officials investigate and prosecute crimes against children that are facilitated by the internet and other electronic communications.

Alberto Gonzales: The most basic and most important role of any civilized society is to protect its children. It is a challenge that never ends. After all, there are so many dangers that we must protect our kids from; injury and illness, drugs and gangs. The list is frightening and it is long. One threat haunts us more than all the others—the threat of sexual predators. Their crimes against children are irreversible. Their pain lasts a lifetime because it steals the gift of innocence. At times, it seems as if we cannot stay ahead of the threats against our kids. And there is a cruel irony in the fact that society’s technological advancements have provided those who seek to hurt our children with new opportunities. Every day, children are sexually solicited online. Every day, thousands of individuals obtain, distribute, and produce child pornography over the internet.

Regina Schofield: When the Attorney General launched Project Safe Childhood, he had
two things in mind. The first thing was to make sure that we can teach our children and our parents about how to protect them and keep them safe from online sexual
exploitation. The second thing, is to make sure that we’re supporting law enforcement,prosecutors, individuals that are on the other side of the criminal justice system to make sure these predators are brought to justice, that there are investigations done for cybercrimes, and that we use the entire force of the criminal justice system to protect our children.

Brendan Sheehan: You get these cases, and they say “It’s just a picture,” “It’s just an image” and you have to educate judges, you have to educate the public that it’s not just a picture, but it’s a kid being abused and every time that image is portrayed and every time that image is published, it’s a continuing abuse of that child.

Michelle Collins: There is a misconception as to what child pornography is. These are
not just pictures; these are not baby in the bath tub types of photos. These images
actually represent the graphic sexual assault of children. In just the last eight years of reviewing the child pornography for the cyber tip line and the CVIP program, we’ve seen the age of the child victims dramatically drop. At this point, 6 percent of the children that we know are identified; are actually infants. And a fully 58 percent otherwise, are children who are still prepubescent.

Arnold Bell: We’re seeing escalating levels of violence; we’re seeing more egregious
forms of abuse. It’s almost like it takes more to get people excited than it did a year ago.

Michelle Collins: Individuals who sexually exploit children are very often in positions of trust in that child’s life.

Arnold Bell: We’ve arrested, unfortunately, lots of cops, we’ve arrested lots of teachers, lots clergy, boy scouts. There is no profile, per se, for persons who do this type of work.
Nothing I’ve seen in 20 years of law enforcement compares to the things I’ve seen since I’ve been in this chair. An example is a little baby, probably about 8-9 months old, being penetrated by an adult male, in the video with sound, and the male’s narrating what he’s doing to this child and talking about how he likes the feel of the child squirming in his hands, and he likes how the child screams in pain and that sort of stuff. That is unimaginable horror for the kid, unimaginable that anybody in their mind would ever think to do like that.

Brendan Sheehan: This just isn’t a picture. It’s a crime scene with a child being abused. Even in some of these images you can see them crying; tears in their eyes as they’re being abused.

Flint Waters: You’re seeing pretty harsh stuff. You see some very hard material. We
tracked an individual that was trafficking in child sexual abuse images. And we saw very a high volume. I ended up reaching out to San Diego, and working with them at getting the information so that they would work this case. They ended up arresting an individual who was working as a respiratory therapist in Children’s Hospital there. When they started investigating, they found this guy had been molesting one, two, three kids a week; he’d been there for 10 years. He was molesting kids that were coming out of surgery, that were there for hospice care, children that couldn’t ask for help. And there were a lot of kids involved. When they asked him about it, he was looking out the window at the weather. And it was snowing where he was. They asked him how many kids he’d molested and he said “How many snowflakes are there?”

Flint Waters: The ICAC task forces are a group of state and local law enforcement
agencies that are brought together, supervised, and funded by DOJ, Office of Justice
Programs, to do investigations of child exploitation on the internet. The ICAC data
network is a series of servers, located in Wyoming, that are accessible to investigators throughout the United States. One of the big advantages that comes from being able to do this is we can actually make it possible for investigators to not have to look at these videos over and over and over again. The images that we see that depict 2-year olds being violently raped are not only destructive to everyone involved, but they can tear down these officers that are working these investigations.

Arnold Bell: There are about 37 Innocent Images task forces across the country. In
almost all of those task forces there are state and local representation on those task forces, so if you overlay the ICAC map of where the task forces are with the FBI map, the country is pretty well blanketed in terms of online presence, covert presence to work in these matters. Obviously, we do our enticement cases every day, there are agents online in this country every single day that are posing as kids and in a matter of minutes, you have four or five guys asking you “How old are you?” “Are you a virgin?” “What’s your bra size?” “Do you have pubic hair?” You’ll see very aggressive solicitation or you’ll see a grooming process that could last over several weeks, where the person slowly introduces sex into the conversation.

Brendan Sheehan: The internet connectivity has allowed it to be a either a federal crime or a state crime. And it could be prosecuted either way.
McGregor Scott: California, until extremely recently, has had a very weak law on
possession of child pornography, so we’ve really been the only game in town in terms of a true felony count for possession of child pornography. So our ability to get a felony conviction obtained, really very real legitimate sentences and get these guys off the streets for extended periods of time is going to do nothing except make our community safer.

Flint Waters: It’s critical to work closely with our US Attorney’s office, where an
individual and state court might give probation or a year in jail, we often can get much heavier sentences through the coordination of our assistant US attorneys that are assigned to investigate these cases.

McGregor Scott: We’ve had a number of cases in past years up to the present where we
have partnered with district attorneys where they will prosecute the same suspect for
child molestation charges, while we will prosecute that person for child pornography
charges.

Brendan Sheehan: We use that as a heavy hammer when we have cases in the state
system.

Arnold Bell: The Brownie case is a case that involves a little girl who was being sexually abused by an adult. This particular case probably has the worst images I’ve ever seen. The pictures were seen in late November of 2003 in Denmark. The officer in Denmark put it on a network that was run by Interpol, sent to the Canadians, the Canadian, Toronto police. The Toronto police had done some training with us prior to that. They got the pictures, they looked at it, they saw the Brownie uniform that appeared to them to be an American uniform. They contacted agents here. The perpetrator had obliterated the Brownie troop number on the uniform. The agent and the officers from Toronto were able to locate that number and put it to a location in North Carolina. The agents in North Carolina went out and identified the victim, identified the perpetrator, and ended up arresting the perpetrator, who was actually the father of this young girl. Some of the picture that we saw, the girl was in a dog kennel; naked, locked in a dog kennel crying, the girl was naked with a butcher knife across her chest, there were carvings on her chest that says kill me slut, that kind of stuff, urination on the child. In the exploitation of this, the data that we recovered at the search, we found, I believe, 180,000 images of child abuse.

Michelle Collins: It’s terrible that these children are going to have to live for the rest of their lives, not only having to live with what happened to them, but the fact that their exploitation is now showed around the world with individuals who are getting sexual gratification by collecting their photos.

Arnold Bell: There’s been a positive impact in respect that everyone in the Bureau and everyone across the law enforcement community that works this violation is on the same page. Once you make that relationship, that relationship lasts, and it goes across all programs.

Michelle Collins: Everybody has a tool that they can bring towards this fight against
child sexual exploitation. Whether it be the US Attorneys office, or the ICAC task force, or the Innocent Images program within your community, the local law enforcement agencies, as well as, entities such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Arnold Bell: Whatever the turf battles might be, whatever the conflicts might be between inter-agencies; when we’re talking about this issue, all that stuff falls away. We’re all kind of focused on the same thing. We’re all focused on saving kids. From where I sit, there is no option for that. We can’t be effective if we’re not working together—we just can’t.

Michelle Collins: I think if you’ll speak with most investigators or prosecutors, the one key component that you’ll hear in the success of these types of cases is collaboration with other agencies.

Brendan Sheehan: It’s been a successful prosecution team with the US Attorneys, and
the county prosecutors, and local law enforcement all working together in doing the
number one goal, which everyone wants, is protect our children.

Arnold Bell: The law enforcement is working together. We’re very aggressive. We’re
much more aggressive than we were even a couple of years ago in terms of addressing
this problem. But it’s a huge problem.

McGregor Scott: It’s far more important, I think, that this not be the flavor of the month. We want this to be a very sustained operation that has meaningful results to ensure safer communities.

Regina Schofield: Task forces cannot do it alone. We will need the help of every
individual in the law enforcement community. I encourage you, whether you are a
parent, concerned law enforcement member, at the federal, state, or local level, we must all do what we can as concerned citizens and criminal justice professionals to make sure that our children are kept safe.

McGregor Scott: The best long-term solution here, is information and education. We’ve
got to prevent our way out of this problem.

Regina Schofield: You can help me teach parents that they must stay vigilant, stay smart, and most of all, let’s work together to make sure we are keeping our children safe from online sexual exploitation. To stop this problem from becoming more pervasive than it is, we need three elements coming together. We need education, we need prevention, and we need enforcement. Project Safe Childhood pulls all those elements together to make sure we are keeping America’s children safe.

Alberto Gonzales: In order to confront this threat to our kids, we must rise up together as soldiers in the armies of compassion, called to action by President Bush. So speaks Shirley Lowery, the former CEO of Sosen. Recently shamed and ousted from her position during a gruesome hostile takeover, Shirley became depressed and announced her retirement. Unfortunately, it didn't last long. She's back with a vengeance and plotting her return to activism with her new mission statement, above.

One of her ways of making a come back will be to address America's youth. Not those who were victimized by sexual abusers but rather those she claims were cheated of a normal childhood by parents who were afraid that their child would be abused. She says:
"Adults threw all kinds of things on you to protect you from a fate worse than death.

Were you frightened or were you victimized and cheated out of the best years of your life due to the adults in your life that were scared witless?

It will be interesting to hear what you have to say about families being tossed out and burned out of their homes. People have been mugged and murdered.

Personally I think it will be far more interesting to hear from children who were groomed, manipulated and molested. Those who were sexually assaulted and battered. Those whose mother stood up for them .... and those that didn't. Those who had their abuse dismissed and/or denied, versus those who had validation of their right to be free of sexual abuse by having proper sentences given to their abusers. But that's me.

Shirley lost her American Chronicle articles, along with Jan Kruska and Jan's pseudonym Amanda Rogers. Of course Sosen itself lost their account also, but that's another story. This story is about Shirley's comeback.

Today we have the rare opportunity to observe one of her infamous blasts at society in progress. So far we have two versions she's presenting for group input. Let's look at some of the things she's saying.

She offers some snippets from a CNN transcript of John Walsh talking about his problems with sex addiction and how it hurt people in his life including his wife, children and himself. Shirley says:
"With this information we know that Walsh admitted to a raging sex addiction in 1999. He is well aware of the intensity of this condition and how it can ruin lives. If treatment worked for him it should work for many others with the same or a similar sex disorder. He owes the public an answer."
This is actually nothing new, all the RSO activists are trying to compare a sexual addiction to a sexual offense. This only serves to show their complete desperation and ongoing habit of pointing fingers, blaming others, and refusing to admit that they and they alone are fully responsible for their own actions. A sex addiction has nothing to do with sexually assaulting, raping, or molesting others unless the two are combined.

Next inline for finger pointing and blame-shifting we have Jessica Lunsford. We previously saw how Shirley made the allegation that Jessica had consensual sex with John Couey and then committed suicide by having Couey bury her alive. She's got a new spin on the situation, let's take a look.
"Every year we have young females who are abducted, raped and murdered. Jessica Lunsford was one such case. Her convicted killer, John Couey, did not suddenly turn murderer because of some long ago, non-violent sex crime. He turned killer due to the large amounts of crack cocaine that he ingested just hour's prior to Jessica's disappearance. By pretrial motion that information was withheld so even the juror's deciding his fate were not given this information. This tends to put a damper on the concept of a fair trial by a jury of your peers"
Let's stop there for a moment. Nobody has ever accused John Couey of murdering BECAUSE of his previous sex crime. Furthermore the same laws that allowed his drug use to be withheld in trial are the very same laws that prevent a jury from knowing a child molester on trial has a history of molesting 10 other children. It works both ways. And to make matters even worse for Shirley Lowery, in her haste to look like an idiot, completely fails to address the fact that John Couey kept Jessica for a week, raping her repeatedly before burying her alive. I hardly think he was on crack cocaine that entire time, and no one else thinks that either. That level of drug use would have killed him as no human body could withstand it.

"Jessica's horrific death would not have sparked any undue attention had it not been for old charges that required registration as a sex offender. That is the stage that was set for the American people. It was a power play with sex at the forefront and drugs pushed out of the way."

That's interesting. The way I recall events, Jessica's disappearance created a LOT of attention, BEFORE it was known a registered sex offender had kidnapped, repeatedly raped and killed by live burial little Jessica. THAT is how *I* recall it.
"Because of the way this case was presented everyone from home security people on up profited from this child's death. If John Couey had not fondled and tried to steal a kiss all of those years ago there would be no such thing as Jessica's Law."
Isn't it so terribly unfortunate that these things had to happen to Jessica before we could get our legislature to recognize what we've been telling them for years? But Shirley continues. She claims that the job the jurors did
"has been cheapened by the fact that even they were given partial truth to work with in a trial that was a mere mockery of justice.

This case was presented to a nation in such a manner as to induce public hysteria. It is time for us to remember that this is America where that sort of thing will not be tolerated.

For the health and welfare of this nation we had a right to know that the search was for a junkie rather than a sex fiend. Such careless, political power play has done irreparable harm to our country"
Search for a junkie? It was a search for an unknown person of unknown qualities who was acting for unknown reasons. It wasn't until after he was identified that anyone knew he was a registered sex offender. Furthermore, WHY does Shirley Lowery believe she has a right to know everything about a case yet you don't have a right to know that your next door neighbor molested a 5 year old child. When you have a 5 year old child.

WHY? Why is Shirley Lowery so hell-bent on blaming everyone except John Couey? Why is she so hell-bent on shifting attention AWAY from sex offenders? Could it be that her son, serving 60 years in prison for molesting Shirley's granddaughter, because of pleading guilty AND taking a plea bargain which REDUCED his sentence to SIXTY YEARS has caused her to flip her lid? Or was she always this wacked out?

"A child who has been victimized suffers from low-self esteem. If there is any shred of self-respect left it is quickly ripped away by society's very vocal perception. We are damaged, emotional cripples with diminished capabilities and nobody is willing to waste time on a lost cause. Society "saves" children by jerking them out of a bad situation and ensuring that the abuser is punished to the full extent of the law. There is no individual that notices or cares that only the faces have changed in a child's ongoing nightmare.

The hunger for revenge is what keeps these incidents as front-burner items. There are high-profile individuals who will tell you that a child deserves what he or she gets if they aren't willing to give up a loved one for 25 years. This is typical thinking for someone who has not experienced the situation. Most kids are not going to buy in to a 25-year future of public misery. We bide our time until we can walk away legally. The family is intact and there is no stigma. It is called survival.

The government never does anything right yet there are great expectations that they will fix the sex offender problem. Realistically, we are further away from a solution than we have ever been. Please stop the drama and pretend that your precious child has victimized another of your equally precious children. Dare to feel the pain of being alive with your heart ripped out. Get up close and personal with all aspects of such a situation and then give the world a valid opinion on how we should proceed."
Please pay close attention to this:

We bide our time until we can walk away legally.

You lost any credibility you may have had long ago. You have serious emotional and mental problems. Seek help for it and give this up before you make it any worse than you already have. You cannot be an activist anymore, no matter how much you want to be. We won't allow it.

A 13 Year Old Boy Shattered After A Judge Makes His Deplorable Decision!

A SEX abuse victim is shattered after a judge ruled he had consented to his own assault as a 13-year-old.

The deaf victim, who summoned the courage to face his abuser in court, has now had his faith in the justice system destroyed, his family says.

The victim's stepfather today joined condemnation of a judge for summing up the sexual assault by a 24-year-old man as adolescent "experimentation" and releasing him on a suspended sentence.

Yesterday, Judge Michael Kelly said the the 13-year-old deaf boy consented to his own sexual abuse and described the sexual assault by a 24-year-old man as adolescent experimentation before releasing him on a suspended sentence.

Judge Kelly said the young teenager and his attacker - the only deaf people in their country community - were both victims of "experimental lust".

"There was not the difference in their levels of maturity that their physical age would suggest," Judge Kelly said.

The young victim's stepfather today said the refusal to jail the abuser was an insult that had angered, upset and bewildered the victim.

"I don't know how he will cope with it ... this could haunt him for 40 years," the stepfather said.

"I just know that he was very, very, upset last night.

"I just know that he's lost faith in the court system," he said on Southern Cross radio.

The stepfather said he was horrified when the abuse came to his attention.

His stepson had spent four years going through the legal system and bravely opted to face his abuser in court rather than by video link, only to be dealt a cruel blow.

"He wanted to confront this guy and show him he wasn't beaten," the man said.

The stepfather said his stepson's life had not been the same since the assault.

He had lost two jobs and was now considering leaving another.

Australian Childhood Foundation chief Dr Joe Tucci said the judge's comments were offensive.

"It is indefensible and . . . continuing to perpetrate a misunderstanding of how children cannot give consent and cannot in any way be responsible for their own sexual abuse," he said.

"He actually has minimised the violence against this young boy and he has also, I think, given voice to those who think sexually abusing 13-year-olds is OK."

"He is not discharging his responsibilities as a community leader . . . the Government should move immediately to suspend him or force his retirement."

Hetty Johnston, founder of child advocacy group Bravehearts, said the judge was an absolute disgrace. "We have to get rid of these dinosaurs from our benches," she said.

Calling for an appeal, Ms Johnston said community standards were not being upheld and victims needed to be respected.

"It takes away the power of all victims everywhere."

Ms Johnston and Dr Tucci both called for the abolition of suspended sentences in underage sex assault cases and clearer standards in sentencing.

Judge Kelly was rebuked by a senior prosecutor last month during the offender's plea hearing when he said the victim impact statement was a "waste of time".

The victim "wouldn't have done well in a British public school in the '30s", Judge Kelly said at the time.

"The majority of people who suffer this kind of incident at some stage in their life simply get over it and think no more of it."

Addressing those comments yesterday, Judge Kelly said he'd fallen into legal error and hoped the victim's despairing predictions for the future proved false.

But he went on to say: "The complainant . . . gives a horrific account of his perception of the effect upon him and his life of the crimes committed upon him by the prisoner, notwithstanding that he consented to the whole of the conduct and that it appears to be common ground that he initiated it."

The County Court heard that in March 2001 the older man began a relationship with the young teenager while on a camp for people with hearing disabilities.

They had been long-time friends and shared a close bond because of hearing problems. The sexual relationship continued until October 2003 when the victim's brother caught them in bed.

The man pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual penetration and one of an indecent act with a child under 16.

The court heard the man was pathologically lonely and lived in a silent world because none of his family had learned sign language.

A psychologist gave evidence that the man's inability to properly communicate had left him socially starved and naive.

Judge Kelly said: "I accept the view that this offending grew out of friendship, curiosity and immaturity, was an isolated exercise of very poor judgment, and is much regretted," he said.

The man was sentenced to two years and nine months' jail, wholly suspended for three years.

Flickorna's AoA is of little girls from the ages of infants to 15, but states that he likes older girls at times, if they are "really beautiful". He has posted that he often fantasizes about finding a girlfriend who is around the age of 13 or 14 and loving her for many years to come, even as she grows older, as long as she understands that his attractions to little girls will never change. He is also known to post about specific little girls on whom he has crushes. In addition, he states that he currently has a YF, a little girl who is only 5 years old with whom he is in love.

He states that he spent 5 days in jail for having sex with a 13 year old when he was 20 years old. He has volunteered at middle schools and other places where he had access to children. It seems that he is obviously a pedophile to the people who know him in person, because he whines often that his "relationships" with little girls are frequently "ruined" by other people.

He says that his family knows that he is a pedophile, and that even his family doctor knows, and recommended therapy for him, but he wouldn't go.

This is a dangerous pedophile who molests children within minutes. Any child who is near him is in danger of being molested.

Flickorna says:

"About two years ago, a young homeless couple came to live with me. It was winter and they slept on the living-room floor without paying rent. I especially loved their little daughter. I played with her a lot during those months. I sort of fell in love with her. One day I lay her on her back and licked her clit a little bit. I liked doing that. It felt really nice."

"I often daydream of licking little girls. Little girls are so sensual. I can't see any reason why showing such an act of affection is considered wrong by so many people. I am especially attracted to girls age 3 through 13."

17-month-old baby boy hospitalized following extreme abuse by his mother's boyfriend!

A 17-month-old boy was hospitalized Friday morning following abuse that Apopka police said came at the hands of his mother's boyfriend.

Investigators said 24-year-old Darlanne Toussaint was babysitting the child at the Willow Lake apartments off SR-436, Thursday. Police said when the baby started crying, Toussaint confessed to beating the boy and using a hair dryer on several parts of his body for 10 to 30 minutes.

His next door neighbor was shocked to hear the news.

"I can't believe he would do something like that. He seemed like a real nice guy. I can't believe he would take it that far," said Jeff Nathe, the suspect's neighbor.

Toussaint was in the Orange County jail, Friday morning. He is facing attempted murder charges.

Sarah Tofte finds it striking...
Sarah Tofte, a researcher for Human rights watch, who we mentioned here, recently went on WYNC New York Public Radio with Pro-Sex Offender Activist Linda Pehrson. Aside from the usual blame gaming you expect from the likes of Linda Perhson and the talk of "Restorative Justice," what we found interesting was a statement made by Sarah Tofte:

"This is a number that always strikes me, that I think people don't pick up on as much, but to me I find this the most striking number. Is that every year, of all new sex crimes, eighty-seven percent of new sex crimes are committed by someone who has no previous sex crimes convictions."

The implication being that 13% of new sex crimes are committed by people who already have been convicted for sexual offenses.

If we were to compare the number of people who are sexual offenders (627,217) with the entire population of the U.S (301,139,947) we'd find that sex offenders make up roughly 0.2% of the entire population.

Going by her own statistics, I wonder what it is that Sarah Tofte finds most striking about her statistic which illustrates that such a tiny percentage of the population is accounting for a disproportionately large percentage of new sex crimes - 13% committed by 0.2% of the population.

Megan’s Law violator

STONINGTON — Kevin P. Misner, 31, of 70 Wilson Ave., Keansburg, N.J., has been charged by state police at Stonington with two counts of failing to comply with Megan’s Law, which requires a sexual offender to register a new address with state police.

State police said Misner informed police that he was residing at 1011 W. Spruce St., Coal Township, but never officially resided there. Police said Misner also failed to report his New Jersey address.

Misner was arraigned at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III and committed to Northumberland County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Laws leave offenders fewer places to live

Billie K. Nichols, convicted of sexually assaulting three children, was told by police to leave his rented room in Keansburg. The 65-year-old was informed that he lives too close to the beach.

About half a mile away, Kevin P. Misner, deemed by a judge to have a higher risk of committing another sex crime, is allowed to live within 1,000 feet of two day care centers and two schools in Keansburg.

Under the borough's residency ordinance, Misner is allowed to stay where he is because he is a homeowner, not a renter.

Keansburg is one of at least 45 towns in Monmouth and Ocean counties that have passed measures since June, restricting where convicted sex offenders can live. And like Keansburg's, some measures have quirks, inconsistencies and seemingly contradictory passages that may run afoul of state law.

Monmouth and Ocean counties were home to 1,220 registered sex offenders in January, according to State Police information. The names and addresses of just 253 were posted on the state's Megan's Law Web site; most of the rest are known only to law enforcement.

Because of the growing number of residency restrictions, an unknown number of sex offenders may be forced from their homes this year. With fewer and fewer locations in which to live, more registered sex offenders could move to areas outside the exclusion zones — from inner-city enclaves to suburban neighborhoods.

Maureen Kanka, who campaigned for Megan's Law in 1994 after her 7-year-old daughter, Megan, was raped and murdered by a neighbor who was a convicted sex offender, said she agrees with the concept of residency restrictions. But Kanka, of Hamilton, said she opposes municipalities that completely ban registered sex offenders from moving in.

Brick effectively did that last year when it set sex-offender-free zones around all school bus stops. Bradley Beach imposed an effective total ban by including zones around a bowling alley, religious institutions, and a recreation building.

"I don't think it's fair for towns to push them out onto other towns," Kanka said. If an alternative is to sentence sex offenders to life behind bars, Kanka said that would be an avenue worth exploring.

Some offenders have put up a fight, saying they shouldn't have to move.

In January, a judge temporarily barred Keansburg from enforcing its ordinance after one borough sex offender challenged the measure in Monmouth County Superior Court. As a result, Nichols and 13 other Keansburg residents who pleaded innocent to violating the local restrictions may remain in their homes, at least until the lawsuit is resolved.

The lawsuit may prove effective — Egg Harbor City in Atlantic County amended its ordinance following a similar court fight. It now allows low-risk offenders to move into exclusion zones, but it still bars offenders deemed to have a moderate to high risk of re-offending.

In Monmouth and Ocean counties, only Middletown permits offenders deemed to be low risk, but bars moderate- and high-risk offenders. Upper Freehold bars high-risk offenders from living 2,000 feet from places including schools and horse farms with formal riding programs for minors, while moderate-risk offenders cannot live within 1,000 feet of those places and low-risk offenders are barred from living within 500 feet.

Local officials say their residency rules are designed to protect communities — particularly children — from sex offenders.

Critics say the ordinances are unconstitutional and interfere with the statewide Megan's Law, which requires community notification about offenders considered more likely to commit another sex crime.

Under Megan's Law, about one offender in five is considered sufficiently high risk to be listed on the State Police sex offender Web site.

The names, photographs and addresses of 115 from Monmouth County and 138 from Ocean County were listed on the State Police Web site on Jan. 5.

Out of those 253 registered offenders in the two counties, about 90 lived within 1,000 feet of a school, according to a Gannett New Jersey review of the addresses.

In Monmouth County, there were three high-risk, or tier three, offenders.

In Ocean County, there were 18 tier three offenders listed on the Web site. Another was added last month.

About half of the offenders listed in Monmouth and Ocean counties in January were in seven towns. They are: Dover Township (28), Neptune (19), Lakewood (19), Brick (16), Asbury Park (16), Seaside Heights (13) and Manchester (10).

Of those seven, all but Asbury Park have new ordinances that now restrict where sex offenders may live.

"Measured legislation to provide buffer zones for children is simply common sense," said Terence M. Wall, the Keansburg borough manager and a Holmdel committeeman.

Keansburg's ordinance would make virtually the entire borough off-limits to Nichols and other convicted sex offenders who rent or want to move into town. Holmdel also has residency restrictions.

Locally, exclusion zones range from 500 feet to 2,500 feet. In most municipalities, sex offenders who ignore the ordinances can be fined up to $1,250, jailed for 90 days or subject to 90 days of community service.

But there are inconsistencies among the 45 municipalities — more than half of the 86 towns in the two counties — with exclusion zones:

In 15 communities, renters must move but homeowners may stay.

In 29 municipalities, sex offenders who lived in the community before the local rules were adopted may stay. Neptune Mayor Thomas J. Catley said that clause was added to his township's ordinance so it does not run afoul of the U.S. Constitution's ban on retroactive laws. But in Neptune, if a renter with no history of sex offenses is later charged and convicted of a sex crime against a child, that renter would have to move from a prohibited zone, Township Attorney Donald L. Beekman said. A homeowner, however, who committed a similar crime could stay.

In 14 of the 45 municipalities, the rules apply to both adults and juveniles who are sex offenders. All but one of these communities would force a teenager living in an exclusion zone to move, unless the teen's name is on the deed of the home. A teenager who is a registered sex offender may not live near a school — but local rules do not stop him from attending a school.

In 28 communities, only sex offenders whose victims were minors face restrictions. Those locales would allow someone convicted of raping adult college students to live next to a high school. But the measures would bar an 18-year-old convicted of having consensual sex with his 14-year-old girlfriend.

Nichols, of Keansburg, said the boom in residency restrictions has added to a stressful life. He is upset about the prospect of being kicked out of his home and isn't sure where he would go.

An offender may have little money to finance a move: 85 percent to 90 percent of Megan's Law offenders are indigent, according to state Office of the Public Defender spokesman Thomas Rosenthal.

"I've got to live somewhere," said Nichols, who spent 16 years at the state prison for compulsive sex offenders, the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Woodbridge. In 1988, he pleaded guilty to aggravated sex assault against three girls who ranged in age from 5 to 11, records show.

In prison, Nichols said, he learned how to live in society and how to recognize his "warning signs" so he won't commit another sex crime. If he hadn't responded to treatment, the state could have tried to civilly commit him after he served his sentence, he said.

"You've gotta do your work in there to get out," he said.

After Nichols was released in November 2004, a Superior Court judge declared him a moderate risk of re-offending. He must check in with local authorities every three months.

Now that he is free, he is not about to break the law again, he said.

His $115-a-week room at the Belvedere Hotel is not much, he said, but it's home. In fact, it is about the same size as his former prison cell, he said.

His bed was pressed against the far wall. A roll of toilet paper and cleaning supplies sat on one dresser. A small television set sat atop the other.

"NO SMOKING" was stenciled in white on the paneled wall near the door. Black plastic bags of belongings lay on the floor, and his golf clubs were propped against a wall.

"I just have to find a place I can afford," said Nichols, who works as an assistant greenskeeper at a private golf course. "If you mess up, I can see that. But if you go about your business, and you're not disturbing anybody . . . We used to talk in jail — they should make some kind of island for us. We've got to live someplace."

The exclusion zone is not designed to be a cure-all, but it reduces the likelihood of an offender breaking the law again, borough manager Wall said.

"Others would say that 80 percent of victims are assaulted by people they know," Wall said. "True. The 20 percent matter as well."

In December, Bradley Beach became off-limits to convicted adult sex offenders who attacked minors. The mayor says there are "less than a handful" of offenders, perhaps five, who live there.

Borough resident Harriet May Savitz, 72, who lives a few blocks from at least one of the borough's sex offenders, said the restrictions are a "great idea," and further believes offenders should get longer prison terms.

"I don't want them in anyone's back yard," said the grandmother of four. "I think they lose the right to live in society when they touch a child. That's automatic."

If every community created exclusion zones, it would mean sex offenders could only live in rural areas because suburbs and cities have more schools and churches, said Jackson Tay Bosley, a psychologist and the president of the New Jersey Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.

But most jobs are in cities and suburbs, he said.

Most sex offenders need to be employed, in treatment, and monitored, said Ken Singer, a licensed clinical social worker and the executive director of that treatment association, who also runs therapy groups for both sexual abusers and abuse survivors.

The residency rules are "basically a stupid, feel-good idea," he said. "It doesn't do any good for someone to drop out of sight, and not register. It doesn't make anyone safer."

What does work, he said, are programs such as Child Assault Prevention, a state-funded educational program that empowers children and teaches them to be assertive.

Further, because New Jersey already has sex offender laws, municipalities are pre-empted from imposing their own restrictions on Megan's Law offenders, said John S. Furlong, a Trenton-based lawyer, who co-wrote the second edition "Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification: A "Megan's Law' Sourcebook."

Besides sex offender registration and community notification, New Jersey sex offenders convicted after Oct. 31, 1994, are subject to supervision by parole officers for 15 years to life. Parole officers have the power to bar them from living near schools or with minors.

The state also has civil commitment for convicts deemed sexually violent predators but who have completed their prison terms.

In January, there were 343 such people confined to facilities in Kearny and Woodbridge, and their cases are reviewed every six months, according to William Plantier, an official with the state Department of Corrections. Such people are "not in control of their deviant sexual behavior," he said.

Regardless of how well sex offenders did in their therapy sessions, officials in Seaside Heights don't want any more offenders who abused children living within 2,500 feet of a school and other locations. That's most of the borough.

"If this makes it harder for them to seek housing, or if they wanted to go to one community and they can't, I won't lose any sleep over it," Councilman William Akers said. "I think these are bad people, and every community has the right to protect themselves from bad people."

Because Seaside Heights is a vacation spot, it is even more important for borough officials to know where offenders stay and, if possible, keep them out of town, Akers said. So officials are trying to determine if they can force authorities elsewhere to tell them when sex offenders visit as tourists, he said.

Sex offenders, and people with mental health and social service issues, seem to come to Seaside Heights, perhaps because the community has many low-cost motel and hotel rooms in the winter, Akers said.

Thirteen Seaside Heights sex offenders were listed on the State Police Web site in January. The site reported that one was in custody and two were fugitives.

"We seem to be taking on a lot of responsibility for a lot of different people, and we don't have facilities to help these people," Akers said. "We take on a big burden every year."

A man accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl at a Phoenix playground earlier this week spent nearly 12 years in prison for committing a virtually identical crime.

And in November, he was arrested and jailed after police saw him running naked down Van Buren Street. He was then released on his own recognizance, despite his sex-offender status.

Court records describe William R. Speed, 35, as psychologically troubled and prone to hearing voices.

About 7 p.m. Wednesday, Speed reportedly approached a girl playing on a jungle gym in a park near Van Buren Street and 12th Avenue. Police said Speed had partially removed his clothes and the girl's clothes before family members and witnesses heard the girl's screams and pulled him off her. They held him down until police arrived, according to Phoenix police spokeswoman Stacie Derge.

The girl did not suffer any serious physical injury, Derge said, but was traumatized by the attack.

The attack appeared to be random, Derge said, and police have no reason to believe that the girl knew him.

Speed was charged with sexual conduct with a minor.

The attack bore close resemblance to a 1995 attack on a 7-year-old girl that sent Speed to prison for nearly 12 years.

On September 23, 1995, Speed approached a girl who was walking her dog near his apartment. As the child was cleaning up after her dog, according to court records, Speed sat down next to her and removed his pants, then partially disrobed the girl and sexually assaulted her. Onlookers chased Speed and caught him.

Because of that attack, Speed was charged with kidnapping and sexual conduct with a minor, but in July 1996, he pleaded guilty to attempted sexual conduct with a minor and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

During interviews for his presentence report and a psychological evaluation in the court record, he told evaluators that he heard voices in his head and on the radio that told him to "have sex with a baby." He thought the girl in the 1995 attack was enticing him, he said.

Speed is originally from San Jose, Calif. He told evaluators that his stepfather was sent to a mental institution for child molestation and that a stepmother had sexual relations with him as a teen. He was arrested but not charged for a pair of petty incidents in the 1990s before the attack that sent him to prison.

Speed was first released from the Arizona Department of Corrections in January 2006 after serving 85 percent of his sentence but was sent back a year later to finish out his term after a technical parole violation that corrections officials did not specify. He was released Oct. 5.

A little more than a month later, at about 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 7, he was arrested after running naked behind a bar in the 1800 block of West Van Buren Street. Speed told the arresting officer that he had just smoked cocaine and felt like taking off his pants and running, court records show.

Speed was charged with indecent exposure in that incident and initially held on bond. Then, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, he was released on Nov. 16. He was allowed to go free on Tuesday of this week following a hearing, according to court records.

Because of the 1996 conviction, Speed is registered as a Class 3 sex offender, the highest level, and Derge said he kept his sex-offender registration current; he listed his address as an overflow homeless shelter on Madison Street, a half-mile south of the park where Wednesday's attack took place.

There were no stipulations in Speed's registration that say he cannot be around children, Derge said.

Phoenix neighborhood advocates are upset with the Arizona Department of Corrections after a man sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl at a playground earlier this week.

Residents of the Capitol Mall and University Park areas said Friday that the department uses a nearby homeless shelter as a dumping ground for ex-convicts who have nowhere else to go and then forgets about them.

The local community, they said, suffers as a result.

For proof, residents point to what happened Wednesday night at a park near Van Buren Street and 12th Avenue. There, William R. Speed, 35, - who was released this October after serving 12 years in prison for assaulting a 7-year-old girl - is accused of approaching a young girl playing on the jungle gym.

Speed then grabbed her and began to remove his clothes and the child's until she screamed, alerting family members and witnesses who came running to her defense, Phoenix police said. The girl did not suffer serious physical injury, but was traumatized by the attack, according to police.

A month ago, court records show Speed, who has a history of mental illness, was arrested after running naked behind a Phoenix bar. He was charged with indecent exposure and released the following week. By law, the court could not hold him without bail for a misdemeanor.

Before Wednesday's attack, he was one of dozens of registered sex offenders who lived at the nearby overflow homeless shelter run by Central Arizona Shelter Services.

"This has got to be preventable," said Shannon Dubasik, the executive director of the Capitol Mall Association. "This is wrong on every level."

Dubasik said the problem is not the fault of the shelters, which must admit the ex-convicts, but rather it is that of the local law enforcement agencies that continue to drop people off without additional help. "They don't have a chance of being successful," she said.

A spokesman for the Department of Corrections said Speed had completed all of his jail time and there was nothing more the department could do.

"It's not us, it's the law," said Nolberto Machiche. "Legally, we have no voice or authority over them once they've completed their sentence."

Mark Holleran, the chief executive officer of the shelter, said the neighborhood has every right to be concerned. Outside of the prison system, his shelters have the highest concentration of sex offenders, he said. Wednesday evening, Speed was one of about 80 - maybe more.

"This isn't new," Holleran said. But it's "something that can't continue."

Five of Britain’s most wanted child sex offenders are identified publicly today on a new website dedicated to finding them.

The move is unprecedented in that it is the first time details of convicted paedophiles have been published nationally.

Although their crimes are not being disclosed, photographs of the five men and their last known location are, with the consent of the police.

The five men named on the website are Alexander Colin Dalgleish, Gordon Stewart, Paul Turner (also known as Paul Francis or Geddes), Joshua Karney, who also goes by five other names, and Kamil Krawiec.

The site includes photographs, physical descriptions, additional information and a warning against vigilante action.

Dalgleish has connections to Merseyside and the West Midlands, Stewart to central, north and north west England and Scotland, Turner to the south coast, Karney to Lancashire but travels all over the UK, and Krawiec has links to Hackney and Earl’s Court in London and Birmingham.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre created the site at http://www.ceop.gov.uk/wanted, to appeal for information about child sex offenders who have disappeared.

Jim Gamble, the head of the CEOP centre, said: "It is not about publishing details of all sex offenders as this could drive a large number of compliant offenders away from effective management programmes.

"What we want to do is maximise every available opportunity to locate those offenders who are missing to protect children, young people and communities."

He added: "The public must report sightings so the police can take appropriate action. Vigilante activity will be robustly dealt with and is likely to result in arrest."

They are not men wanted over unsolved crimes, but offenders who have already served punishment but since gone missing after failing to comply with legal restrictions on their movements.

Breaching these so-called “notification requirements” - which are conditions of their placement on the sex offenders register - is an arrestable offence punishable with up to five years in prison.

Fear that people would take the law into their own hands was the principal reason why the Home Office refused to introduce a public notification system — the Sarah's Law demanded by campaigners.

The law is named after Sarah Payne, who was murdered six years ago, and modelled on Megan's Law, a system that operates in America. It was established in the mid-1990s after Megan Kanka was killed by a paedophile who had moved close by without anyone knowing.

The Home Office and the police have long opposed the introduction of such a law, but over the summer, John Reid, the Home Secretary, signalled that he might bring one in. Supporters praised the apparent about-turn, but their hopes were dashed when the Government said it was instigating a "review" only.

The CEOP centre stressed that the website was not about “naming and shaming” offenders whose whereabouts are already known, but finding those who have gone missing and cannot be traced by the police.

The police already run a "most wanted" list on their Crimestoppers website which has received almost 40 million hits and led to 24 arrests since it went live a year ago.

It lists Britain's 10 most wanted criminals and carries appeals for information on others who are on the run.

Thanks to a brave six-year-old boy and the courageous William "Ray" Graves, Westley Dodd was apprehended after trying to abduct the child from a theater bathroom. The police brought him to the station for questioning.

Dodd was visibly nervous as detectives from both Washington and Oregon interrogated him. His record revealed a litany of crimes against children, the most serious an attempted abduction in Seattle in 1987. More importantly, they realized that their suspect lived a short distance from where Cole and Billy Neer were killed, and worked close to where Lee Iseli's body was found.

When questioned about the incident at the New Liberty Theater, Dodd tried to convince the detectives that he intended "only" to molest the boy in the restroom. He admitted to his history of molestations but left out the murders. Eventually, Dodd confessed that he had killed Billy and Cole Neer, and Lee Iseli, and went into graphic detail.

He claimed that he had to kill the Neers so that they wouldn't identify him. "When Cole pulled his pants down, I knew I wouldn't be able to let them go," he said, as if Cole had precipitated his own murder. Dodd recounted how he coaxed Lee into his car, and brought him home, where he molested and killed him. The detectives were disgusted by Dodd's admissions, but were even more disturbed by the fact that Dodd seemed to enjoy reliving the events. He then told them about the briefcase under the bed, where he hid his diaries, his photo albums, and Lee's underwear.

As investigators searched Dodd's small but orderly apartment, they found ropes and belts (for restraining his victims); X-Acto knives (Dodd planned to use these for his "experimental surgeries"); and ropes around the single bed's headboard and footboard. They found four volumes of Parent/Child books, and a copy of the New Testament, with the words "Satan Lives" scrawled inside. They also found Dodd's homemade torture rack, which had not yet been used.

But the most incriminating discovery was Dodd's briefcase, hidden under the bed.

The first thing investigators noticed when they unlatched the briefcase was Lee's folded "Ghostbusters" underwear. They found his diaries, which painstakingly recounted his assaults and plans for future murders. Dodd had neatly organized the articles pertaining to the Neer and Iseli cases, and had systematically arranged his notes on the crimes, divided into separate envelopes titled "Incident 1," "Incident 2," and "Incident 3." A photo album, with the words "Family Memories" on the cover, functioned as Dodd's pornographic collection, which included images of Christ as a baby from iconographic paintings. It also contained advertising images of children in underwear. There were Polaroids of Dodd naked, Dodd assaulting Lee, and pictures taken of Lee after he had died, including one of the little boy hanging in the closet.

Dodd was charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Billy and Cole Neer, and Lee Iseli, as well as attempted kidnapping at the New Liberty Theater. Initially Dodd pleaded "not guilty," but in January 1990, against his attorney's wishes, he changed his pleas to guilty on all counts. Later that year, he stood before a Clark County judge and read a statement, indicting himself on all charges. He admitted that his crimes, including murder, were premeditated. There would be no trial to determine his guilt, but a jury would have to decide whether to give him the death penalty.

"Look what Mr. Dodd likes to do in his free time," said Prosecutor Roger Bennett to the jury. "Plan child murders. Commit child murders. Relive fantasies about child murders and write about them. With life without parole, two of those things are still available to him."

The jury of six men and six women listened with disbelief, disgust, and grief as they were read sections from Dodd's diary, and saw the photos implicating Dodd's brutalities against Lee Iseli. One of the jurors nearly passed out as he listened to parts of the diary read aloud. They also heard Dodd's detailed plans for his future victims, which included mutilation, dismemberment, and death.

Dodd's defense did not call any witnesses, nor did they present any evidence during the trial. Defense attorney Lee Dane did try to suggest that only an insane person would write the diaries that Dodd kept. During the trial Dodd sat quietly, stone faced. He later told The Oregonian that he was bored by the testimony. "I've heard it so many times now, it's kind of old, really."

Prosecutors asked for the death penalty, and on Saturday, July 15, 1990, the jury agreed that Dodd should die for his crimes. William "Ray" Graves, who apprehended Dodd outside of the New Liberty Theater, said, "The man don't deserve to live -- not someone who does that to babies. There's nothing more precious than them little guys."

Death by hanging

Dodd was in the odd position of having to defend his decision to die: "I didn't offer any mitigating evidence during the penalty phase because, in my mind, that's just an excuse. And I don't want to make any excuses," he told the court. "I do not blame the criminal justice system for anything…but the system does not work and I can tell them why," he said. "It doesn't really matter why the crimes happened. I should be punished to the full extent of the law, as should all sex offenders and murderers." Dodd stated that if his death would bring relief to victims' families, then he should die as soon as possible.

After the sentence, Dodd insisted that hanging was the appropriate means of execution, and that he did not want his death delayed by appeals. "I must be executed before I have an opportunity to escape or kill someone within the prison. If I do escape, I promise you I will kill and rape and enjoy every minute of it," he told the court.

He wanted to hang, he said, "because that's the way Lee Iseli died." The judge set Dodd's execution date for January 5, 1993, in Walla Walla, Washington. The ACLU fought to keep Dodd off the gallows, arguing that death, especially hanging, was cruel and unusual punishment. But Washington's justice system prevailed, and Dodd's execution date moved closer. By choosing a particularly cruel form of capital punishment, hanging, Dodd fiercely polarized the capital punishment debate, and many rallied to stop the execution. Although Dodd indicated he wanted to die, it seemed that he wanted to die a martyr, not as a criminal.

Dodd lures the media

Dodd made use of his time by courting the news, claiming he could help by telling his story. After his capture, he wrote a pamphlet on how to keep kids safe. But the Northwest communities where he molested children did not need Dodd as their spokesman against pedophilia.

Both the pornographic diary, numerous letters, and the cautionary pamphlet express Dodd's need to talk, and talk, and talk about his sick fetish. Dodd enticed the media, and the media trustingly took him by the hand as an "expert." He marketed himself as a monster -- look at me! Watch out for my kind! There are others out there like me! He appeared on TV shows (including Sally Jesse Raphael and a CNN special,) called radio programs from his cellblock, and gave countless interviews to reporters and to anyone else who wanted to listen to him recount his molestations. During the trial, Judge Robert Harris got so fed up with Dodd's incessant interviews that he threatened Dodd with lockdown conditions, including revoking telephone and mail privileges. He also chastised reporters for printing interviews with Dodd that could sway the jury.

In the end, Dodd used children for his own physical gratification by molesting them, and then used them for ego gratification by becoming an expert on the subject of child molestation.

As his execution date approached, Dodd professed remorse for what he had done. "I have confessed all my sins," he told a reporter in his interview. "I believe what the Bible teaches: I'll go to Heaven. I have doubts, but I'd really like to believe that I would be able to go up to the three little boys and give them a hug and tell them how sorry I was and be able to love them with a real true love and have no desire to hurt them in any way." We can only hope that Dodd's final destination provided some permanent distance between himself and the boys he hurt.

At 12:05 am on January 5th, Westley Dodd was executed by hanging. He was the first inmate to die at the gallows since 1965.

DENVER -- Sheriff's deputies in Weld County are asking for the public's help in finding three children, officials believe are in danger.

Deputies received a court order Tuesday from the district court directing them to locate the three children ages 6, 5 and 3 years old, said Shane Scofield of the Weld County Sheriff's Office. The children have been missing since.

The order stated the children are in imminent physical or emotional danger while in the custody of their mother, Evelyn Elmira Jewell, said Scofield.

Police said they are searching several areas for Jewell and her children. Police believe she may try to head towards Mississippi, Scofield said.

Police said they are looking for a black four-door Honda with temporary tags.

Jewell, 24, is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Cecil E. New II, a 46-year-old convicted sex offender, was charged Wednesday with kidnapping and killing 4-year-old Cesar Ivan Aguilar-Cano, who disappeared near Churchill Downs on June 29. The boy’s body was found in a garbage truck a few days later.

For Metro Police, it was the end of months of painstaking work to crack this case. Detectives arrested New about 5 a.m. Wednesday near 26th and Jefferson -- just a block or so away from the halfway house at which he was staying.

The case among the most heart wrenching cops have faced: the body of little 4-year-old Ivan Cano discovered in the bin of a garbage truck as tippers made trash pick ups in the alleyways of apartments near Churchill Downs back in July.

Police later searched the apartment of New, located just behind the apartments where Cano's family lived. At that time, no arrest was made.

Then today's arrest and his grand jury indictment hours after he was taken into custody.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Dave Stengel said they'd been waiting for some test results.

“We had a whole parameter of scientific tests that we did. DNA testing was one of those things we did,” said Stengel. “You know, there’s a lot of cases out there that never get solved. So we’re real pleased with the job police did on this one and we hope to follow up with a good job on the prosecution.”

Father charged with sexual assault, murder of baby

LINCOLN PARK -- Prosecutors charged a Lincoln Park man today in the death and sexual assault of his 8-day-old daughter, who died from massive bleeding and blood poisoning after the attack.

Christopher Ryan Richardson, 21, was charged with felony murder, and first-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree child abuse. The murder charges carry mandatory sentences of life in prison without parole, while the maximum penalty for the other charges are life in prison and 15 years, respectively.

Richardson vehemently denied the charges during his arraignment this afternoon, calling the acts "psychotic."

"Never in my life would I do some (expletive) like this," Richardson said, as several people in 25th District Court shed tears but declined to comment afterward.

The charges came after Nevaeh Ann Richardson was rushed to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital with blood coming from her mouth and rectum on the day after Thanksgiving shortly before midnight. She died the following day and the Wayne County Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide.

Authorities said the child's death stemmed from digital anal penetration.

The infant also suffered from bruises on her arms, legs, head and injuries to her genitals before she died, Worthy added.

"We in law enforcement have seen many horrendous crimes but this is one of the worst when someone will harm an 8-day-old infant," she said.

Nevaeh, which is heaven spelled backward, was living with Richardson, her mother and paternal grandmother when the crime happened.

Richardson was charged last week with domestic violence, third offense, for assaulting and threatening the child's mother on the night Nevaeh was taken to the hospital. He was being held in the Lincoln Park jail with a cash bond of $100,000.

District Court Judge David A. Bajorek increased Richardson's bond to $1 million with the three new charges, noting that Richardson recently failed to appear in a Southgate court for an assault and battery charge and for a probation violation in Roscommon.

With his head hung and tears streaming occasionally down his face, Richardson asked Bajorek if could take blood or lie detector tests to prove his innocence.

"I didn't do it, man," Richardson insisted.

A preliminary hearing will be held Tuesday on Richardson's domestic violence charge. A preliminary examination on the murder and assault charges is scheduled for Dec. 11 at 1:30 p.m

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House is taking on people who use the Internet to prey on children, working through bills that would make it easier to monitor and prosecute cyber crimes against juveniles and to educate children about online dangers.

"We need to think of this as a war," said Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., sponsor of one of a half-dozen sex predator, child pornography and Internet safety bills heading for passage Wednesday. The bills were put together by Democratic majority but enjoyed wide bipartisan support.

Her bill would approve spending $1 billion over the next eight years to combat online child exploitation. It would create a Justice Department office to coordinate prosecution efforts; increases money for a program that helps state and local law enforcement; and provides more dollars to hire agents and improve forensic lab capabilities dedicated to child exploitation cases. It passed 415-2.

She said law enforcement has identified nearly 500,000 individuals trafficking in child pornography over the Internet, but because of a lack of resources, only about 2 percent are under investigation.

The other bills would:

_Approve $5 million a year for five years for an initiative that conducts Internet safety programs for children. An additional $5 million a year would go for competitive grants for similar initiatives. The bill was sponsored by Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif., and passed by voice.

_Respond to a court decision last year to throw out a child pornography conviction on the grounds that the material moved on the Internet did not constitute interstate commerce. It would specify that Internet transmissions do fulfill the commerce clause. The bill sponsored by Rep. Nancy Boyda, D-Kan., passed 409-0.

_Enhance federal agent and probation officer efforts to monitor the computer use of convicted sex offenders. It would authorize courts to require, as a condition of probation, that convicted sex offenders cooperate in installing Internet filtering and monitoring systems. Social networking sites are permitted to check sex offender registries to prevent offender access. The bill sponsored by Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., also would increase prison terms for those who lie about their age in order to engage in criminal sexual conduct with a minor. It passed 417-0.

_Make it easier to prosecute federal child pornography law. The proposal would clarify that knowingly accessing child pornography on the Internet constitutes possession even if the person does not download or save the content. It also would subject those who profit from child pornography to money laundering charges. A vote on the bill, sponsored by Rep. Chris Carney, D-Pa., is pending.

_Require the Federal Trade Commission to increase public awareness and education about Internet safety. The proposal by Rep. Melissa Bean, D-Ill., passed 398-6.

All the bills must still be considered by the Senate.

Friday, 26-year-old Patrick Wong was sentenced to five years for violating the terms of his probation. One of those conditions was that the former Texas Tech student was not supposed to be on MySpace. Wong is eligible for parole in two and a half years.

Another paroled registered sex offender who was caught using MySpace is out of jail. Paul Gutierrez was sent to prison three months ago for violating his parole by having a MySpace account. Gutierrez is under close supervision and must carry a tracking device. Since his release, he has taken his MySpace profile down.

Sometimes living the life of a sex offender still on probation leaves me feeling hopeless that my future will have much worth or purpose. Certainly my present does not have much satisfaction. To know that for the rest of my life my country will consider me a worthless throw away citizen is depressing. At least citizens have the right to vote, so actually I am less than a citizen who was born and raised here. My crime was getting two fifteen minute massages from a foreign exchange student staying in my apartment for a couple of weeks. Oh, yes, I also put aloe vera lotion on her sunburn after we spent an hour at the beach. I acted inappropriately by being naked in my apartment in the presence of the fifteen year old European girl, and for that I will be a registered sex offender for the remainder of my days. Personally, if my days were only a few it would be a joyous relief, because I have no career to return to, no retirement to contribute to since I basically am just making ends meet and getting by, and the mental anguish of daily being reminded that sex offenders are worse creatures on the planet. It did not matter that the girl offered the massages. That was my fault for being touched, especially while being naked for a massage. Regretting my error will never make the judge happy. Paying exorbitant attorneys' fees, losing my career, going to jail for six months, paying to participate in a sex offender course for 20 months, five years of probation where I must go three times a month to answer the same insidious questions that I have not had police contact, or contact with minors, and that I still live at the same address mean nothing to society. Corporations will not hire me. I cannot sell real estate. I cannot become a plumber, even if I had a crack big enough to fill the job. Jokes aside, this law does not consider the fairness of punishing one forever. This was not murder, folks. This was a dumb, single male who took in a stranger from another country who spoke the same language, and made a mistake of being naked in his apartment in her presence. Even murderers don't have to register for life. People who drive drunk and kill people don't have to register for life. Some guy who falls asleep while getting a massage does, though. Yes, I was wrong. I won't do that again. But that isn't punishment enough. Oh, did I forget to mention the $4,000 fine? And, why don't lying attorneys have to register for life? Everyone is guilty of something. Let's register everyone for something. Well, let's not register the police, the politicians, the judges, the district attorneys, the attorneys, or people who lie on the stand. They deserve special favor. All the while, the sex offenders who are all classified as the scum of society have no rights as convicted felons. Why not just kill them all? Start with me, because this system already killed me five years ago when the attorney told me to plead guilty after I told him I didn't have any more money to pay him. (He was doing such a mediocre job, that paying him an additional $7,500 to continue his worthless efforts would have been a greater crime.) Maybe after I am actually dead, not breathing any more, someone will realize that this country that is rapidly losing face around the world has a greater need to stop throwing away its citizens. Recycle bottles, cans, paper, and just for fun, felons who have completed their punishment phases. They are not all alike, but they still have redeemable value that cannot be utilized if discarded forever.

I always was told that a person is innocent until proven guilty. I was always told the policemen, the judicial system, etc worked for the people. I always believed these things until I met my wonderful husband. I met him after being married to an abusive alcoholic for 26 years. I finally got the courage, the sense or whatever you want to call it and leave in July 1999. I met my husband Mike on August 31, 1999. It was love at first sight for us both. We originally met online and chatted for a couple days. I told him I wanted to meet him and he told me he had to tell me something first. I read a little of his story and told him you paid your dues and I wasn't one to judge without meeting and getting to know a person. We met the next evening. We moved in together a couple weeks later. He has helped me through nightmares, flashbacks, and has worked and supported us through most of our relationship. I have panic and anxiety attacks and chronic depression. At times, I faint for no apparent reason. They say this is the form of anxiety attacks I have. He has never pushed me, has done without so I had medication, has taken very good care of me, never complained about being awakened at at night when I have nightmares, holds me when I faint. He is the most wonderful, loving, caring person and I am so lucky to have found him. God was smiling down on me when we met. God meant for us to be together. Here is his story and our story:

In March 1984 Mike was arrested for capital sexual battery. He was coerced into pleading guilty. He was told he was drunk and didn't remember doing anything to his nine year old little girl, who was his oldest daughter. After he pled guilty the States Attorney told the Judge that the medical reports stated there was vaginal penetration. Mike was sentenced to 2 years house arrest and 15 years probation. He didn't see his children for two years. Near the end of the 2 year house arrest he was offered a job in Pennsylvania. The courts allowed his probation to go to Pennsylvania. He had an excellent job. In
December 1994 his youngest daughter said he had touched her breasts. He hadn't done so. The oldest daughter tried to speak on his behalf and
wasn't allowed to. She mainly wanted to let the system know that her sister was lying because she had been grounded. At this time the oldest
daughter was 17. The youngest was 13. He and his wife were having problems and he was planning to move out after Christmas. He was
with a misdemeanor for this as he pled guilty again deciding there was no reason to fight. He was depressed about many things in his life. His
wife moved back to Florida and went to the States Attorney and insisted they violate his probation. Pennsylvania had decided not to let Florida
know anything and she was furious. She had been telling her daughters their Father was dead and no longer of any importance to them, they
were to have nothing to do with him etc. I have this information from the oldest daughter who lives in our home with her two year old son. She
is very close to her Father. In December 2000 we lived near the youngest daughter in an apartment. I worked at the apartment complex. The
youngest daughter had told the oldest daughter she would consider meeting with us. We wrote to her. Her Father wrote and I wrote a
separate letter introducing myself. She then sent the police to our home telling them Mike was a Registered Sex Offender. Mike had me to call
the police station earlier in the year about that because we had watched something on the news about it and I was told he didn't have to Register.
They arrested him that night for Failure to Register. While he was in jail over night I went through his transcripts and read what the States
Attorney said to the judge about the medical reports. I already knew that wasn't true because the oldest daughter had already told me
he had never touched her in anyway and was only a loving Father her entire life! Then I found the copy of the medical record. It reads no
penetration and no evidence of any vaginal trauma or attempted entry! How could the States Attorney get away with this. I asked Mike
this question. He said because he had pled guilty the judge didn't have to actually see the medical report! Also, I found out that Mike hadn't
seen it either. Not only that, but he had never looked at any of the transcripts or anything since they had been in his possession. He said he
just wanted to forget it and get on with his life. Also, while looking at these papers I found his release papers from prison when they violated
his probation. No where on any of the papers does it say he is to register as a sex offender. As a matter of fact the only thing even close is
where they checked "NO, I do not have to register as a sexual predator". I was fired the same night that they arrested Mike and told we had
three days to move out. I didn't receive my last pay check from them. I don't remember what their reason was for keeping it. I also didn't
receive my Commissions due to me. Since I was fired they gave Mike a Public Pretender oops I mean defender. I was a wreck and haven't
worked outside the home since then. We started our own business as a Procurement Agency for the Offshore Gas and Oil Industry. In
November of 2002 our business was doing so well that Mike was able to quit his regular job and work at home with me. While doing research
on the internet to try and help him win this case I came across the Jacob Wetterling Act. It seems the DOC was to have registered Mike
before he even left prison. Had they done that he would have received a letter from the State yearly wanting all of his information as to
address, license number, license plate number, phone number, etc. He never received one of these until after he was arrested for
Failure to Register. We went to court on July 28, 2003 for this charge. The judge said to Mike, "Mr.. Price, I haven't read anything about
your case or seen anything about your case but I can tell you that if you take this to trial you will lose and you will be given 15 years and
the Jimmy Rice Act". Of course, after that he did the same thing and pled guilty. My 16 year old daughter, her boyfriend, Mikes now
26 year old daughter, a friend of ours and myself were all in court to speak on his behalf but were denied. My children and grandchildren
think just as much of Mike as his own daughter does. He has been a great step father to my children and loves them as his own.
He is serving 11/29 in the Pasco County Detention Center, Land O' Lakes, FL. Our customers somehow found out about Mikes criminal
background and the business is now gone. All because of lies and ignorant States Attorney's, State Judges and State Public Pretenders.
Mike's daughter has gone to an attorney and given her statement as a recantation. He went through all the transcripts etc and found
several other reasons besides her statement to file a Motion for Post Conviction Relief. That paperwork was filed on October 30, 2003 but
we have yet to be given a hearing date. They want to rush and put innocent people in jails and prisons but drag their feet on the truth.
I am finished venting now. I am a lot wiser and a whole lot less naive now. Thank you for listening.

Antisocial personality disorder

Antisocial personality disorder (APD) is a psychiatric condition characterized by an individual's common disregard for social rules, norms, and cultural codes, as well as impulsive behavior, and indifference to the rights and feelings of others. Antisocial personality disorder is terminology used by the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, while the World Health Organization's ICD-10 refers to Dissocial personality disorder.

Diagnostic criteria (DSM-IV-TR)

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV, currently DSM-IV-TR), a widely used manual for diagnosing mental and behavioral disorders, defines antisocial personality disorder as a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15vc, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:

1.failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest

2.deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure

3.impulsivity or failure to plan ahead

4.irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults

5.reckless disregard for safety of self or others

6.consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain steady work or honor financial obligations

7.lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another

Diagnostic criteria (ICD-10)

Chapter V of the tenth revision of the International Classification of Diseases offers a set of criteria for diagnosing the related construct of dissocial personality disorder.

Dissocial Personality Disorder (F60.2), usually coming to attf a gross disparity between behavior and the prevailing social norms, and characterized by:

callous unconcern for the feelings of others;

gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules, and obligations;

incapacity to maintain enduring relationships, though having no difficulty in establishing them;

very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence;

incapacity to experience guilt or to profit from experience, particularly punishment;

marked proneness to blame others, or to offer plausible rationalizations, for the behavior that has brought the patient into conflict with society.

There may also be persistent irritability as an associated feature. Conduct disorder during childhood and adolescence, though not invariably present, may further support the diagnosis.

Symptoms

Common characteristics of people with antisocial personality disorder include:

Persistent lying or stealing

Recurring difficulties with the law

Tendency to violate the rights of others (property, physical, sexual, emotional, legal)

Substance abuse

Aggressive, often violent behavior; prone to getting involved in fights

A persistent agitated or depressed feeling (dysphoria)

Inability to tolerate boredom

Histrionic personality disorder

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive emotionality and attention-seeking, including an excessive need for approval and inappropriate seductiveness, usually beginning in early adulthood.

The essential feature of the histrionic personality disorder is a pervasive and excessive pattern of emotionality and attention-seeking behavior. These individuals are lively, dramatic, enthusiastic, and flirtatious. They may be inappropriately sexually provocative, express strong emotions with an impressionistic style, and be easily influenced by others.

The literature differentiates HPD according to gender. Women with HPD are described as self-centered, self-indulgent, and intensely dependent on others. They are emotionally labile and cling to others in the context of immature relationships. Females with HPD over identify with others; they project their own unrealistic, fantasied intentions onto people with whom they are involved. They are emotionally shallow and have difficulty understanding others or themselves in any depth. Selection of marital or sexual partners is often highly inappropriate. Pathology increases with the level of intimacy in relationships. Women with HPD may show inappropriate and intense anger. They may engage in manipulative suicide threats as one aspect of general manipulative interpersonal behavior.

Males with HPD usually present with identity diffusion, disturbed relationships, and lack of impulse control. They have antisocial tendencies and are inclined to exploit physical symptoms. These men are emotionally immature, dramatic, and shallow. Both men and women with HPD engage in disinhibited behavior.

People with this disorder are usually able to function at a high level and can be successful socially and at work. However, histrionic personality disorder may affect a person's social or romantic relationships or their ability to cope with losses or failures. People with this disorder may seek treatment for depression when romantic relationships end, although this is by no means a feature exclusive to this disorder. They often fail to see their own situation realistically, instead tending to dramatize and exaggerate. Responsibility for failure or disappointment is usually blamed on others. They may go through frequent job changes, as they become easily bored and have trouble dealing with frustration. Because they tend to crave novelty and excitement, they may place themselves in risky situations. All of these factors may lead to greater risk of developing depression.

Causes

The cause of this disorder is unknown, but childhood events and genetics may both be involved. It occurs more frequently in women than in men. Histrionic Personality Disorder is only rarely found in men; men with similar symptoms are often diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder.

Little research has been conducted to determine the biologic sources of this disorder. Psychoanalytic theories incriminate seductive and authoritarian attitudes by fathers of these patients.

Symptoms

The symptoms include:

Constant seeking of reassurance or approval.

Excessive dramatics with exaggerated displays of emotions.

Excessive sensitivity to criticism or disapproval.

Inappropriately seductive appearance or behavior.

Excessive concern with physical appearance.

A need to be the center of attention (self-centeredness).

Low tolerance for frustration or delayed gratification.

Rapidly shifting emotional states that may appear shallow to others.

Opinions are easily influenced by other people, but difficult to back up with details.

Tendency to believe that relationships are more intimate than they actually are.

Diagnostic criteria (ICD-10)

The International Statistical Classification of Diseases defines histrionic personality disorder as characterized by:

self-dramatization, theatricality, exaggerated expression of emotions;

suggestibility, easily influenced by others or by circumstances;

shallow and labile affectivity;

continual seeking for excitement and activities in which the patient is the centre of attention;

inappropriate seductiveness in appearance or behaviour;

over-concern with physical attractiveness.

Associated features may include egocentricity, self-indulgence, continuous longing for appreciation, feelings that are easily hurt, and persistent manipulative behaviour to achieve own needs.

Treatment

Because of the lack of research support for work on personality disorders and long-term treatment with psychotherapy, the empirical findings on the treatment of these disorders remain based on the case report method and not on clinical trials. On the basis of case presentations, the treatment of choice is psychotherapy aimed at self-development through resolution of conflict and advancement of inhibited developmental lines. Group therapy is not recommended for those with HPD because it often perpetuates histrionic behavior because the person then has an audience to play off of.

Sexually Active Teenagers Are More Likely to Be Depressed and to Attempt Suicide

Teenage sexual activity is an issue of widespread national concern. Although teen sexual activity has declined in recent years, the overall rate is still high. In 1997, approximately 48 percent of American teenagers of high-school age were or had been sexually active.

When compared to teens who are not sexually active, teenage boys and girls who are sexually active are significantly less likely to be happy and more likely to feel depressed.

When compared to teens who are not sexually active, teenage boys and girls who are sexually active are significantly more likely to attempt suicide.

Thus, in addition to its role in promoting teen pregnancy and the current epidemic of STDs, early sexual activity is a substantial factor in undermining the emotional well-being of American teenagers.

DATA SOURCE AND METHODS

The data used in this analysis are taken from the National Longitudinal Survey of Adolescent Health, Wave II, 1996. This “Ad-Health” survey is a nationwide survey designed to examine the health-related behaviors of adolescents in middle school and high school. Its public-use database contains responses from approximately 6,500 adolescents, representative of teenagers across the nation. The survey is funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) and 17 other federal agencies.

This Heritage CDA analysis focuses on the link between sexual activity and emotional well-being among teens in high school years (ages 14 through 17). The Ad-Health survey asks students whether they have “ever had sexual intercourse.”[4] For purposes of analysis, teens who answered yes to this question are labeled as “sexually active” and those who answered no are labeled as “not sexually active.”

The survey also records the emotional health of teens. Students are asked how often, in the past week, they “felt depressed.” They are provided with four possible answers to the question: They felt depressed

(a) Never or rarely,
(b) Sometimes,
(c) A lot of the time, or
(d) Most of the time or all of the time.

For purposes of analysis, the classification of depressed is given tothose teens who answered yes to options “c” or “d”—that is, they said they felt depressed a lot, most, or all of the time. Thus, throughout the paper, the terms “depressed” or “depression” refer to this general state of continuing unhappiness rather than to a more specific sense of clinical depression.

SEXUAL ACTIVITY AND DEPRESSION

The Ad-Health data reveal substantial differences in emotional health between those teens who are sexually active and those who are not. As Charts 1 and 2 show:

A full quarter (25.3 percent) of teenage girls who are sexually active report that they are depressed all, most, or a lot of the time. By contrast, only 7.7 percent of teenage girls who are not sexually active report that they are depressed all, most, or a lot of the time. Thus, sexually active girls are more than three times more likely to be depressed than are girls who are not sexually active.

Some 8.3 percent of teenage boys who are sexually active report that they are depressed all, most, or a lot of the time. By contrast, only 3.4 percent of teenage boys who are not sexually active are depressed all, most, or a lot of the time. Thus, boys who are sexually active are more than twice as likely to be depressed as are those who are not sexually active.

The link between teen sexual activity and depression is supported by clinical experience. Doctor of adolescent medicine Meg Meeker writes, “Teenage sexual activity routinely leads to emotional turmoil and psychological distress…. [Sexual permissiveness leads] to empty relationships, to feelings of self-contempt and worthlessness. All, of course, precursors to depression.”[5]

Sexual Activity and Attempted Suicide

The Ad-Health survey also asks students whether they have attempted suicide during the past year. As Charts 3 and 4 show, the link between sexual activity and attempted suicide is clear.

A full 14.3 percent of girls who are sexually active report having attempted suicide. By contrast, only 5.1 percent of sexually inactive girls have attempted suicide. Thus, sexually active girls are nearly three times more likely to attempt suicide than are girls who are not sexually active.

Among boys, 6.0 percent of those who are sexually active have attempted suicide. By contrast, only 0.7 percent of boys who are not sexually active have attempted suicide. Thus, sexually active teenage boys are eight times more likely to attempt suicide than are boys who are not sexually active.

Social Factors

The differences in emotional health between sexually active and inactive teens are clear. However, it is possible that the differences in emotional well-being might be driven by social background factors rather than sexual activity per se. For example, if students of lower socioeconomic status are more likely to be sexually active, the greater frequency of depression among those teens might be caused by socioeconomic status rather than sexual activity.

To account for that possibility, additional analysis was performed in which race, gender, exact age, and family income were entered as control variables. This means that each teen was compared to other teens who were identical in gender, age, race, and income.

The introduction of these control or background variables had virtually no effect on the correlations between sexual activity and depression and suicide. In simple terms, when teens were compared to other teens who were identical in gender, race, age and family income, those who were sexually active were significantly more likely to be depressed and to attempt suicide than were those who were not sexually active.

Teens Express Regrets over Sexual Activity

The significantly lower levels of happiness and higher levels of depression among sexually active teens suggest that sexual activity leads to a decrease in happiness and well-being among many, if not most, teenagers. This conclusion is corroborated by the fact that the majority of sexually active teens express reservations and concerns about their personal sexual activity.

For example, a recent poll by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy asked the question, “If you have had sexual intercourse, do you wish you had waited longer?”[6] Among those teens who reported that they had engaged in intercourse, nearly two-thirds stated that they wished they had waited longer before becoming sexually active. By contrast, only one-third of sexually active teens asserted that their commencement of sexual activity was appropriate and that they did not wish they had waited until they were older. Thus, among sexually active teens, those who regretted early sexual activity outnumbered those without such concerns by nearly two to one.

Concerns and regrets about sexual activity are strongest among teenage girls. Almost three-quarters of sexually active teen girls admit they wish they had delayed sexual activity until they were older. Among sexually active teenage girls, those with regrets concerning their initial sexual activity outnumbered those without regrets by nearly three to one.

The dissatisfaction and regrets expressed by teenagers concerning their own sexual activity is striking. Overall, a majority of sexually active boys and nearly three-quarters of sexually active girls regard their own initial sexual experience unfavorably—as an event they wish they had avoided.

Discussion

While the association between teen sexual activity and depression is clear, that association may be subject to different theoretical interpretations. For example, it might be that depressed teenagers turn to sexual activity in an effort to assuage or escape their depression. In this interpretation, the link between sexual activity and depression (presented in Table 1) might be caused by a higher level of sexual activity among those who are already depressed before commencing sexual activity. Thus, depression might lead to greater sexual activity rather than sexual activity’s leading to depression.

In limited cases, this explanation may be correct; some depressed teens may experiment with sexual activity in an effort to escape their depression. However, as a general interpretation of the linkage between depression and teen sexual activity, this reasoning seems inadequate for two reasons.First, as Table 1 shows, the differences in happiness and depression between sexually active and inactive teens are widespread and are not the result of a small number of depressed individuals. This is especially true for girls. Second, the fact that a majority of teens express regrets concerning their own initial sexual activity strongly suggests that such activity leads to distress and emotional turmoil among many, if not most, teens.

Hence, the most likely explanation of the overall link between teen sexual activity and depression is that early sexual activity leads to emotional stress and reduces teen happiness.

Moreover, theoretical questions about whether teen sexual activity leads to depression or, conversely, whether depression leads to teen sexual activity should not distract attention from the clear message that adult society should be sending to teens. Teens should be told that sexual activity in teen years is clearly linked to reduced personal happiness. Teens who are depressed should be informed that sexual activity is likely to exacerbate, rather than alleviate, their depression. Teens who are not depressed should be told that sexual activity in teen years is likely to substantially reduce their happiness and personal well-being.

Conclusion
Sexual activity among teenagers is the major driving factor behind the well-publicized problems of the high incidence of teenage STDs and teen pregnancy. The analysis presented in this paper also shows that sexual activity is directly connected to substantial problems among teens regarding emotional health.

Teenagers of both genders who are sexually active are substantially less likely to be happy and more likely to be depressed than are teenagers who are not sexually active.

Teenagers of both genders who are sexually active are substantially more likely to attempt suicide than are teenagers who are not sexually active.

Until recently, society provided teenagers with classroom instruction in “safe sex” and “comprehensive sex education.”[7] In general, these curricula fail to provide a strong message to delay sexual activity, fail to deal adequately with the long-term emotional and moral aspects of sexuality, and fail to provide students with the skills needed to develop intimate loving marital relationships as adults.

Over the past five years, there has been a growth in abstinence education programs that stand in sharp contrast to “safe sex” curricula. The best abstinence education programs teach:

That teen abstinence is an important step leading toward a loving marital relationship as an adult.

DARVO refers to a reaction perpetrators of wrong doing, particularly sexual offenders, may display in response to being held accountable for their behavior. DARVO stands for "Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender." The perpetrator or offender may Deny the behavior, Attack the individual doing the confronting, and Reverse the roles of Victim and Offender such that the perpetrator assumes the victim role and turns the true victim into an alleged offender. This occurs, for instance, when an actually guilty perpetrator assumes the role of "falsely accused" and attacks the accuser's credibility or even blames the accuser of being the perpetrator of a false accusation.

In that paper Freyd explained that DARVO responses may be effective for perpetrators. "...I have observed that actual abusers threaten, bully and make a nightmare for anyone who holds them accountable or asks them to change their abusive behavior. This attack, intended to chill and terrify, typically includes threats of law suits, overt and covert attacks on the whistle-blower's credicility, and so on..... [T]he offender rapidly creates the impression that the abuser is the wronged one, while the victim or concerned observer is the offender. Figure and ground are completely reversed... The offender is on the offense and the person attempting to hold the offender accountable is put on the defense."

"By denying, attacking and reversing perpetrators into victims, reality gets even more confusing and unspeakable for the real victim. .... These perpetrator reactions increase the need for betrayal blindness. If the victim does speak out and gets this level of attack, she quickly gets the idea that silence is safer." (Veldhuis & Freyd, 1999. p 274).

Two Common Types of Denial
Two common forms of perpetrator (or bystander) denial are:

It didn't happen (an instance) or It rarely happens (a type of event)
It wasn't harmful

She also seemed to be making a point in comparing her crime to that of the man who raped and murdered Jessica Lunsford. Like as if she was saying that what she did was not so bad. Like comparing apples and oranges fruit is fruit, a sex crime is a sex crime. Just because the direct actions differed and one may be way more heinous than the other it is still perverted & despicable either way!
However Jan/Amanda seems not feel this way.

Then she goes on to say it was ONLY a misdemeanor. She said she did not try to lie her way out of it, and it appears that she may have originally plead NOT guilty.
Then she goes on to say that Bruce Howland (see down below for more details) the other defendant aside of her was charged with a class 4 felony of child abuse, but it appears that she may have been personally summoned to court for child abuse as well.
Then she says that people are invited to go to the court and check her records for themselves, and she provided us with the case number. I have provided that court info/link she spoke of for you as mentioned above.
Then she goes on and mentions that she had JUST turned 22 when she was arrested, as if that makes a BIG difference there!
And the old claim of "THAT'S NOT MY MYSPACE ACCOUNT!" It WAS her account, if you searched her name, Jan Kruska that account popped up. If you typed in her email address, that myspace account popped up.
Myspace sends EVERYONE a confirmation/activation email for every account that gets set up. In order for that account to be activated in anyway shape or form, a link has to be followed from that email address to myspace for confirmation.
In that email it also says that if the person received that email in error what they can do to solve it. I have personally seen that myspace account with my own eyes, and I checked on it for three days in a row before she finally deleted it. In those three days it had been logged into each day.

Jan's criminal court record shows her case number is CR1992-004222-A.
The letter A at the end of that number should be followed for all of Jan's information, since there were two defendants.
The other defendant aside of Jan is BRUCE HOWLAND. His case number is the same as Jan's, however his ends with the letter B.
According to Jan, Bruce was the adopted father of the boy that Jan had sexual conduct with. Bruce was also I believe the boyfriend of Jan.
Jan claims that Bruce was an abusive alcoholic and that she cared for the boy very much. Well, I mean she was practically like his step mom right?
So Bruce would abuse her and the boy, which Jan claims made her and the boy even closer.
So how does Jan comfort a boy who is being abused by his father? She has sex with him!
It appears at that link I provided above that BOTH defendants, may have originally plead not guilty:

So what does Jan do, she considers herself to be a freelance journalist.
Amanda Rogers(Jan's "pen" name)is the alias used by Jan to discuss sex offender registries.
She can't use her real name since Jan is a registered sex offender, well she can but then who would trust her...right?
It appears that Jan hates the registry so much, that she wants to change the laws so that she does not have to be on one anymore.
Just like Thomas Madison of SOCLEAR, seems that they both feel and think this way.

And according to Jan, the sex between her and her child victim was "consensual".
Well the boy's aunt didn't seem to agree with Jan's theory and had her arrested.

13-1405. Sexual conduct with a minor; classifications

A. A person commits sexual conduct with a minor by intentionally or knowingly engaging in sexual intercourse or oral sexual contact with any person who is under eighteen years of age.

B. Sexual conduct with a minor who is under fifteen years of age is a class 2 felony and is punishable pursuant to section 13-604.01. Sexual conduct with a minor who is at least fifteen years of age is a class 6 felony. Sexual conduct with a minor who is at least fifteen years of age is a class 2 felony if the person is the minor's parent, stepparent, adoptive parent, legal guardian or foster parent and the convicted person is not eligible for suspension of sentence, probation, pardon or release from confinement on any basis except as specifically authorized by section 31-233, subsection A or B until the sentence imposed has been served or commuted.

MINOR:

In the United States as of 1995, minor is legally defined as a person under eighteen. However, not all minors are considered "juveniles" in terms of criminal responsibility.In eleven states, including Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, South Carolina, and Texas, a "juvenile" is legally defined as a person under seventeen. In three states, Connecticut, New York, and North Carolina, "juvenile" refers to a person under sixteen. In other states a juvenile is legally defined as a person under eighteen.
In addition, the age of consent for sexual activity is often lower than the age of majority

CHILD:

The legal definition of "child" is interchangeable with minor.
The Convention on the Rights of the Child defines a child as "every human being below the age of 18 years unless under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier".
In a New York court ruling in 2006 on the eviction of a pregnant woman, the court declared that her child was equally protected under the law although the eviction notice was served before the child was born

STATUTORY RAPE:

Statutory rape (sometimes called "rape of a child", "corruption of a minor", "carnal knowledge of a minor" and so on) is the crime of sex with a minor under the age of consent (AOC), the age at which individuals are considered competent to give consent to sexual conduct. Statutory rape differs from other types of rape in that overt force or threat need not be present. By law (statute), any such sexual activity is assumed to be coercive since the minor is considered by law to be incapable of giving consent to the acts.

Many jurisdictions have multiple age determiners for AOC, as well as a second "statutory rape age boundary". For instance, an adult engaging in sexual intercourse in a particular jurisdiction with an individual under the age of 13 may be charged with a full statutory rape charge (a charge fully equivalent in punishment and severity to rape) whereas intercourse with an individual between the ages of 13–16 may be a significantly lesser charge (such as "unlawful sexual conduct with a minor" or "criminal sexual conduct with a minor"), depending on the jurisdiction, the age difference between the participants, and other factors. Criminal sanctions for violations of the age of consent that are not statutory rape may range from a minor misdemeanor to a high-level felony.

Female-male statutory rape
In the past, sex involving an adult female and an underage male was often ignored by the law, presumably because it was not perceived a traumatic or negative experience for teenage boys. However, in recent years, social perceptions have shifted, particularly when the adult female is in a position of responsibility, and there have now been a number of high profile cases (Mary Kay Letourneau, Debra Lafave, Pamela Rogers Turner, Pamela Smart) where adult females have been prosecuted for participating in sexual relationships with younger males. These cases mentioned have all involved adult female teachers and young teenage male students. Increase the penalty for lewd and lascivious molestation of a child to life in prison or a split sentence of a mandatoryminimum 25-year prison term, followed by lifetime supervision with electronic monitoring.
Increase, from 20 to 30 years, the period of time before a sexual predator is allowed to petition to have thesexual predator designation removed.
Increase sexual predator/offender registration and reporting requirements.
Sexual predators who murder their victims now qualify for the death penalty in capital cases.
Designate failing to re-register as a sexual offender/predator or harboring or assisting a sexual predator/offender a thirddegree felony.
Require those already convicted of sex crimes to have electronic monitoring for the remainder of their probation.
Require all county misdemeanor probation officials to search the sexual offender registry when a new offender isassigned to them.

We, feel that the use of these web sites encourages crimes against children of a depraved sexual nature; that the existence of these sites serves no public or community good or use; that the only visitors of the sites are child predators or potential child predators; that the sites entices, incites or inflames the sick passion of child predators; that the sites present a clear and present danger to our children.
We believe that no Internet service provider, Internet hosting service, Web hosts or any other private, public or commercial service that provide data center space and/or connectivity to the Internet or to any local area network, should be able to legally host or provide any type of service to any individual, web site or organization that encourages sex crimes against children. This includes any web site, service or individual that portray children in a sexually suggestive manner, any support system, web sites, blogs, audio or video service or hosting services that verify and encourage pedophiles to continue with their criminal urges against children and any type of pornography that is digitally enhanced, touched up or otherwise altered to make the individuals engaging in sex acts to resemble children in a realistic manner. We demand that these web sites be made ILLEGAL in the USA for the USA and the global community.
We, feel that because of this danger that the maintenance of a child predator web site is a conspiracy to commit a sex crime against a child and is so grievous in nature that it should be classified as a felony.We, therefore petition for the following sanctions against these web sites:
1.) All persons involved in these web sites shall pay a fine of $250,000, have all computer equipment seized and donated to a local school,
2.) All persons involved be required to be a registered sex offender,
3.) All persons involved be restricted from access to the internet,

This law should be called APRIL’S LAW after April Rowbury who was raped and left with a venereal disease at 6 years of age. Her attacker was convicted but only served 12 months.
